Why does this come up so often. To repeat what I always say to this worry, the only people who think Skyrim is all snow are people who have no imagination and as such can't imagine that Bethesda has any imagination either.
Every province is only as interesting to look at as the developers make it. Vvardenfell, before we went there, was described as all ashlands. ALL ashlands. But we had swamps and forests and fungi-laden islands and broad grasslands too. Cyrodiil, which many people complained about the cliche appearance of compared to Morrowind, probably had a more interesting description than Vvardenfell did...though not really any more varied. Any in-game "evidence" we've already seen is also completely meaningless. Was there a single structure in Oblivion that resembled the Imperial forts in Morrowind? Do you realize that basically all of Vvardenfell is north of Cyrodiil and was utterly snowless, yet the northern areas of Oblivion are supposed to be some kind of indicator of what to expect in the adjacent northern lands? Even Solstheim, which people for some reason refer to as proof, is further north than almost all of Skyrim and even IT isn't all snow. http://udoplaces.com/UDOPLACES/Scandinavia_files/Lake-Jostler_-Norway_-Scandinavia.png would be realistic for Skyrim.
