The Last Line

Decided to make me my own story. Pass time I guess.
-----

"Hey Momma,

It's your son Richie. Listen, I'm sorry I haven't written to you recently. You never have the time to in NCR life, so it seems. My unit was transferred to Line C. We are, actually what's left of us, stationed at the last

defensive line of Sector Echo, the outskirks of Hoover Dam, or was it Helios One? Hell if I know, NCR don't tell us soldiers nothing.

What I do know is the other three lines were knocked out and overran by them Legion

soldiers. We've been getting hit hard lately, but most of my squad think the main invasion force hasn't hit us yet. Some good news is Perry managed to get that two-way radio working, finally! But with it, only our flyboys

at that AFB can pick up and respond to our signal. I don't know mamma. I wish I had better news, but you told me never to lie, and right now I ain't. Supplies are getting shorter, and casualties are getting higher. I wish

you and brother Roy and sister Lilly well. I'll be home soon mamma, I promise. Well, I hope.

I love you,
Richie."

*Waits for Ytt to show up that way I can shove it in his face*
