The "last" patch...

Post » Thu Apr 01, 2010 6:46 am

This most current patch has caused the game to lock-up and stop, every time I attempt to try and play it.
What is the point of putting out a patch....just to make a game so it's impossble to play?????
What are you guys(developers) thinking???
And, when can we expect a proper "fix" that actually "fixes" this game----so it can actually be played???

I'm on PC so, I can only help so much.

Try clearing your cache. I think it's under System>HDD/memory. Doing this will get rid of the patch. So try to re-download it, if that still doesn't work, then you can at least delete the patch again and just play vanilla until Bethesda gets it right.

Considering that New Vegas is a single player game the obvious solution is to clear your cache to remove the update and then play offline.

I cleared the cash...and,deleted the installed game from disc;that, was on the drive. When I started the game it asked if I wanted to update, and I said "NO". I have been running the game for better than 45 minutes with no problems occurring.
It seems to be running now. Thought I'd give you guys an update.... IF---it crashes again...I will add that to this post.
