The Last Stand, Fallout NV Movie, needs Producer

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 2:58 pm

Alright so to explain quickly, "The Last Stand" is a movie written by me read by a few people, it was written in Early 2010 and was meant to be released as a movie made using Uncharted 2 in early 2011, that didn't happen. So now i'm going to try and have it done on fallout, some Script editing is going to need to be done, similar theme however.

The Movie takes place on a South American island nation called Salvador, after the murder of the former President a dictator takes power and tries to use the population as slaves, its a rather small population (a few cities) so its not hard on controlling them. A group of former members of the Military and police are trying to fight him. This is about their Last Stand where they need to risk it all to take back the country.

Now to explain what i meant by "Needs Producer", I wrote it, i was meant to produce it, i got busy, i stopped, someone else started producing it, they couldn't find actors. So now its here, by produce i mean someone who can film it/direct it. Add bits and change bits, i would be able to do the editing if the person did not want to. Its a rather big project and thats why i'm calling out for producers here, since the general topic on the fallout forums would be the right place. Filming it shouldn't be too hard, i will try to make some maps and stuff. The movie is about 90 minutes long, which will take about 4 hours of filming at the max i should imagine and a million hours of editing (Seriously i spent an hour editing 5 minutes worth of footage once).

Another reason i need a producer for it is that i'm not very good at filming, I end shots too quickly, i'm bad at characters doing stuff other than standing around and i keep messing up the camera. Honestly i've seen people do it well but i'm still too new to it. A plus side to doing it is that the story for the movie is very good and that i'm sure it will go down well with the fans of machinima (the type of video not the company), as well of producing this awesome movie you would have a copy of it to put on your youtube channel if you have one.

I hope that this will be out by early 2012, so far a hell of a lot of work has been put into the 45 page script. (Doesn't sound like much but i may add more to it, also i think i read through most of it once and timed myself).

So please if you think you can do this or would like to leave a reply, you are like our last hope of ever seeing this project surface.

Well are you going to use mods to make it look a little more tropical, I don't think the scenary of New Vegas would work too well.

Yeah I've been working on how i can explain some differences, for buildings, the only city was damaged very badly by a tsunami in 1835 and the island was pretty much left to rot until 1908 when the US invested money in it.
But your right about the sceneary, i'm building the map rather than using one we have already, using the stuff in Vault 22 (I think? Forgot the number of the jungle vault XD).

I think you can also use some of the stuff in Honest Hearts as well. I think 4 hours of filming for a 90 minute film is a bit ambitious, though. I've tried making machinima on a console once and it takes a LOT of time. Plus if the game starts glitching out then things will no doubt get dragged on even more. How many people do you think you will need?

Think your right, it could go way over 4 hours, hell on the uncharted version we had a plan, 1 month of writing, 1 month of casting, 2 months of filming and a month of editing.
Though not many people seem interested in producing this, don't blame them...might find a way to get it made on Uncharted still.
