The Launch Cannot Be Delayed

Post » Thu Mar 06, 2014 2:37 pm

The reason why it's impossible - impossible I say - for them to delay launch, is due to the fact I have planned my vacation already without a chance of changing that anymore.

And I am not alone. We're legion. And we will all call in sick in case of a push back, which ultimately would lead to a world wide breakdown of the economy and loss of vital communal and governmental services. Those not playing couldn't get to work either, because mass transits don't work. They'd get sick eventually anyways, since the trash keeps piling up in the streets. Hospitals couldn't keep up with the sick masses, breaking down on their doorsteps wave after wave.

A global firestorm would blaze through our cities, since the few firemen left couldn't get through the piles of trash, sick and dead people. The day sky would turn black and the nights be glooming red, filled with the stench of burnt flesh and the wailing of the damned, the unlucky that still live.

In short, pushing the game's release back would mean the end of the world. You wouldn't want that, would you?

PS - Servers would be offline, too

Perhaps you'd find a sense of humor in another forum.

It's -obviously- a joke intended to pass time until release.

I'm still dubious that they're testing on an build with connection issues. I realise that they acknowledge it, but it's not common practice and puts a lot of focus for it to be sorted for the next beta.

I work in this area and am putting this hat on, but it's not common to test in this way, unless you're 100% of the fix.

theres absolutly no need for a delay. after reading the supposed new v0.18.1 patch literally almost every issue has been fixed, among tonnes of other stuff. including increased inventory at start.

You must learn and watch closer! The answer's right there in front of your eyes, in plain view to those with an open mind.

I love people like the OP! There are hundreds of you for every MMO launch, and without fail, you will be flooding tot the forums to [censored] about your "ruined vacation time" since the launch will be screwed up.

That's why I take my vacation two weeks after launch. Why these people never learn, I have no idea.

Brother, no need to be so self-depreciating. All it takes is to open up.

It depends how well developed the patch is - imo how successful the next beta is will be the actual confirmation of the launch on the current release date.

This is why I have never taken work off for a game release. Yes I would like to get ahead, but my wife would kill me anyways, and I have limited leave anyways and would rather do real trips. Personally I prefer games to have the exploits and bugs removed first.

if you honestly think they would abort and push the date back a week or two from launch then Im sorry but you need to go rethink that.

If the launch gets delayed it's because they discovered something catastrophic, but there's been thousands upon thousands of people testing this and the most catastrophic issue so far has been the stability of the stressed servers, which is to be expected.

I wouldn't worry.
