[WIPZ] The League of Light

Post » Wed Mar 30, 2011 6:51 am

Note: This mod is in very early stage, but I thought I could announce it anyway. Just don't expect a release anytime soon.

The League of Light
“High in the Valus Mountain stands the ancient fortress of the League of Light. As an old evil awakens, the League sends its agents across the land, offering brave heroes membership of their order, to help combat the emerging Forbidden Ones…”
-Unknown Priest of Talos

To make the mod even more enjoyable, go to your ini file and change these settings: fLightLOD1 to 30000 and fLightLOD2 to 35000. Also note, this mod is an indirect sequel to my other mod, The Forgotten Realm. For maximum enjoyment of this mod, I suggest you play The Forgotten Realm first.

Description

After receiving a letter from the dark elf Noren Lleveryn, the same elf who hired you to destroy Caethoria in The Forgotten Realm, you are summoned to Thunder's Peak, mountain stronghold of the League of Light. As secrets are revealed and questions answered, you are drawn into a fight against a new emerging evil. The League of Light is in need of your assistance once again! In this mod, you will assist the holy order of the League of Light in combating the evil Forbidden Ones. As will be revealed to you, it was the League that secretly hired you on your mission to the Forgotten Realm, and now they'll offer you yet another dungeon diving adventure, but this time around, there will be more focus on the quests and the variety of the places you see. It will be better! (More info will be added as I make progress with the mod.

Details

  • A new guild with it's own magnificent headquarters
  • An entertaining quest-line
  • Dungeon diving
  • Epic boss fights
  • A BIG surprise in the end

Help Request

I don't need help at the moment, but later on I may need some help with scripting and quests/dialogue

Install

1. Extract the files to a temporary location.
2. Examine the folder structure and make corrections where necessary. Though this shouldn't be needed, as everything is most likely in order here. ;)
3. Copy files to (install folder)\Oblivion\Data\
4. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the .esp file(s).

Uninstall

1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck the .esp file(s).
2. Delete the files/folders associated with the mod.
3. You're done!

Incompatibility

This mod could conflict with any other mod that makes changes to the area the Valus Mountains and the lower Jeralls north of Cheydinhal. More locations will probably be modded.
More specific information on cell edits will be made available later.
And no, I won't take any other mods' locations in consideration when I'm creating this mod. Sorry.

Just wanted to say I finally got to play through the Forgotten Realm. And it was amazing! The places were so unique while keeping a flow to what would appear next. I've been looking for a mod that would provide a little bit of everything, and your mod most certainly delivered. Although I tackled it at far too low of a level, it was enjoyable although grueling due to my stupidity lol. I made it through without cheating till the very last fights, and by that point there was no other option at a ripe lvl of 8 :P I am definately looking forward to your next release. Keep up the great work :foodndrink:

O and the ayelid computers are cruel haha, I spent so much time on them :banghead:
