The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Continuity

Hello everyone I've been playing the latest Zelda game on my 3DS and I love it, but I've noticed some things in it that seems to ignore the events after A Link to the Past such as:

{Warning Major Plot Spoilers Ahead}

1: Ganon still has the Triforce of Power: In a major plot twist in the game Ganon returns but has his Triforce of Power, in ALttP he was defeated and Link took all three pieces of the Triforce. My only guess is after the events in Oracle of Seasons and Ages, he sets out on his boat which leads to the events in Link's Awakening and during this time the Triforce split again and Ganon got the Triforce of Power back.

2: Lorule isn't the Dark Realm/Sacred Realm: After Link defeated Ganon in ALttP the Dark Realm was healed and reverted back to the Sacred Realm or Golden Land. So my guess is Lorule is a parallel dimension that shares the similarity to the Dark Realm but is different in its own right.

3: No Pyramid of Power: It's not even in ALBW or anything, not even a trace.

4: The dungeons in Lorule aren't the same as they where in the ALttP: I can understand the Light Words dungeons changing due to years and such but I don't think there would have been a need to change things in Sacred Realm.

5: Where was Hilda at in A Link to the Past: As far as I'm concerned since the Sacred Realm was Ganon's Homebase for some time I doubt there was a Lorule royal family during his stay there, so this pretty much strengthens the case Lorule can't be the Sacred Realm/Dark Realm.

6: The Ice Dungeon isn't located in the same area: In a Link to the Past it was located in the lake area where Lake Hylia was at, in A Link Between Worlds it's located on Death Mountain....also no Ganon's Tower in Lorule as well, so another point to Lorule can't be the Dark Realm.

This might be some nick picking but other then these issues here A Link Between Worlds is still a damn good Zelda game.

Continuity was never in mind of the developers when they made the Zelda games except for a couple of connection, (Zelda & Zelda II for NES, and Ocarina of Time & Majora's Mask for N64). Otherwise it was always like a Final Fantasy type thing where each game was it's own universe and legend.

It's absolutely ages since I played the latter, but I don't really remember any continuity between Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask beyond the main character looking the same...

Exactly my point. The developers really had no intentions of linking together Zelda games with continuity. I think a Nintendo executive did once try to link together the Zelda games 20-something years after the franchise has been around. Not only was it obviously just to please hardcoe Zelda enthusiasts, but he actually failed to link them together simply because they were never meant to be linked together. Too many plot holes to fill...
