The Legend of Zelda

Post » Sat Jan 30, 2010 9:03 am

I bought Wind Waker a long time ago and didn't like it at all. I decided to replay it a few months ago and I loved i, I decided to buy the 2 DS games and Twilight Princess for the Wii, and I thought those were great as well. I've been thinking about buying OoT and MM on the Virtual Console for the Wii, would they really be fun for somebody who hasn't played them before? I don't know if they'll really be up to par since I've played all the newer ones before them, I know some people must like them a lot because it brings back fond childhood memories.

Ocarina of Time is probably the best game ever. It's been my favorite game for 10 years. I still play it today on my original N64.

Buy it. Enjoy it.

Where the [censored] hell is the third small key?!(in the Snowhead temple) I've looked EVERYWHERE and cannot find it. And my guide was no help either. Anyone know?

Get them! They are very good and very challenging. My top 3 Zelda games is OoT, windwaker, and twilight princess.

Wait until you get to the Great Bay Temple...

One thing is certain with Zelda games on the N64: water-related dungeons are never a good experience (including those damn ice caverns in OoT). Jabu-Jabu gave me the creeps as a kid and I when I got to him I stopped playing for a least a few months. The Water Temple... well, we all know the frustrations of it.

Fire temples are the easiest. I just found links awakening and minish cap in some boxes.

The one temple of the two N64 games that gave me the most trouble with was the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time. Surprisingly, I think I got through the Water Temple faster. The music of the Forest Temple also added to my frustration. :P

If I get the Gilded Sword, will I lose it after I go back to day 1?

Can I go back to the temple and do that? if so, I'll try it later.

Thanks though.

If you reenter a temple after defeating its boss, a pillar of light will show up on the white platform with Majora's symbol on it. Go inside it, and you'll be warped directly to the boss.

Well, I decided to get the fairies, just because there's only 4 temples. So far I've gotten all fairies for the Woodfall and Snowhead temples, lovin' the spin attack with my gilded sword. I hate to ask for more help, but how do I get
Spoiler
Epona? my guide just says "get Epona then jump the gate." without explaining how to get Epona.

Have you completed the Powder Keg Test? If you have, you can buy one from the Goron in the Bomb Shop in West Clock Town to blow up the rock blocking the way to Romani Ranch on the first day for 50 Rupees.

I've already gotten to Romanis Ranch, but I can't get past the metal fence to get Epona.

Have you talked to Romani? You can only get Epona if you talk to her on the First Day.

Oh okay, I was on the final day so that's why I couldn't get Epona.

It's in the Pirate's Fortress in the Great Bay. Were you able to get Epona by the way, and defeat "Them"?

Yes, and I kinda got lazy and didn't go to the Ranch at 2..... what happens if you defeat "them"?

Ahh well, time to go back to the Pirate's Fortress.

If you want to make it easier on yourself, go to the Road to Ikana and use the Lens of Truth around a group of rocks. When you give Shiro a Red or Blue Potion, he will give you the Stone Mask, which will make you invisible.

If you defeat "them", you'll get a botle of Romani Milk and you can help Cremia at the evening of the second day.

Sweet, will try that later. Does Romani give you something for defeating "them"?

"Them" still remain in my eyes as one of the creepiest enemies in a Zelda game.
