The Legend of Zelda

Hmm, I might get it then. Which is better, Wind waker or Major's Mask? I want to get TP, WW, and MM but I'll get TP first then I don't know if I should get MM or WW after that.

I couldn't get into Majora's Mask, and I loved Ocarina of Time. I have heard by a few people that Majora's Mask is the hardest Zelda game they played..if you like hard games, then get it, if not, I would go with Windwaker.
(I personally would get Windwaker)

I think I'll get Wind waker, Ocarina of Time was IMPOSSIBLE for me, my cousin has the guide so he knows everything about it so when I first played OoT(which was years ago) I ended up calling him 30+ times(not all in one day or week).

Majora's Mask is genuinely not a difficult game, it just takes time, effort, and memorizing.

If you are not aware, Majora's Mask plays quite differently than Ocarina of Time, it takes place over the course of three days, 72 hours from what i remember. now at a certain point in time, Link gets a notebook that organises his trip. all he needs to do is talk to people to have them filed into the notebook. the game does have na interesting begining sequence before the first dungeon though in that you have to actually go through all 72 hours and await what is beleived to be the end of the world. at that moment you gain the ability to travel through time, now this item has quite a few purposes, and like the NPCs in this game, you saw it back in OOT.
Spoiler
The Ocarina of Time...oooh time is a real hint
now you can travel forward, slow time, or go back to what is called Dawn of the First Day. when you go back to Dawn of the First day, you basically save your game. as a consequence, you lose all ammunition, any rupees you have in your inventory, bombs, deku nuts, and anything that is considered temporary, permanant items stay! things like masks, bottles, and other items that link keeps stay as well, upgrades stay with you as well. but those really arent problems if you know where to look.

gameplay really isnt bad, it just takes planning and thought, a bit more than OOT did. i also loved how open it was with mini-quests and some of the back-story behind Ikana canyon. i saw more in MM than i did in WW, i'm not kidding.

I'll probably get MM and WW for my birthday, I'll try and get TP before my birthday though.

Here's the demo of Skyward Sword.

They were definitely having some serious issues using some of the items, I really hope this was just interference, if not, hopefully it will be fixed before release.

EDIT: Here's a playlist of all(if not, most) Skyward sword videos.

I just beat Ocarina of Time for the first time on my own... amazing game, it redefines the word "classic". Can't wait for Skyward Sword, I definitely don't regret getting a Wii now.

Twilight Princess was pretty good, but I got stuck on one part and never got around to finishing it.

*Use spoiler tags please*

Yeah, you should play Majora's Mask in the meantime....

Talk about redefining a classic :)

(readies flame shield)

[edit] to the people who say the game was "hard"..... you know that you could slow the passage of time, right? I've met three people in real life who apparently didn't know that when they were complaining that they couldn't even make it through the first dungeon without the world ending......

Isn't it like this:

1000 Wii points = 12 dollars?

I've been thinking about buying a DS for Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass, anyone know if they were decent or not?

There's no hope of that happening. Nintendo doesn't release Gamecube games anymore.

Which is too bad because I can't stand the Wii

I hated the look of Windwaker when I first saw it, and didn't pay any attention to it until I saw it one day at Wal-Mart for $20, so I decided to try it out. Man, I wish I would've got it earlier..it really is a great game. Sure , the graphics take some getting used to, but Windwaker is a fun game, well worth playing.

It's better though cause you probably saved money by doing that :P

Ten dollars.

I can't speak for Spirit Tracks, but Phantom Hourglass is the worst Zelda game I've played (and I've played all but the CDi games).

Minish Cap on the GBA was awesome though.

I believe there are only 4 dungeons in Majora's Mask, but there are a ton of great sidequests. Getting all the masks in the game is actually fun, where as in some other games doing sidequests become a chore.

It was interference. Other reported that playing it on the show floor was like butter. Everything was spot on, no glitches, no difficulty in learning the controls. They reported that the game felt done but nintendo says it's still not done so yeah.

I'm gonna need some help.

1.
Spoiler
Where is Jim? I got to the part where you deliver the fairy to the great fairy and get magic, but ran out of time after that.

2. How do I save? I'm using a Gamecube controller and whenever I pause I see two buttons for "return" and no buttons for save.

i finished Majora's Mask 100%, but i started 6 years ago.

i've beaten ocarina of time quite a few times, i have to say that is probably the best one there will ever be.

i've always wondered this, and i want y'all to consider this: Super Mario was converted into a DS game, heck they had the whole thing of that game, with more material in it, an entire nintendo 64 game, so why shouldnt they have Ocarina of Time as a DS game? and with Majora's Mask as well on another card? that would be amazing, heck it would make me buy a DS again.

other than that, i have to say i've liked the Z-targeting combat system, and i had hoped they would stay with that system, i am not a fan of toon link.

dun na na naaaaaaaaaaa

It's been ages since I played Majora's Mask (going to start it this weekend though!).

I do know that you can only save at owl statues, since the whole 3 day thing wouldn't worked well with a save anywhere feature.

I really liked windwaker, OoT and minish cap. Skyward sword looks like a mix of windwaker and TP.

Oh, and I have never beaten a Zelda game... I got my N64 back from my dads office today so i hooked it up and started playing it again :)

I'm feeling very pessimistic about Skyward Sword. One, you're forced to use Wii controls. Screw that. I don't want motion controls, I want to use a real controller. Two, with Shigeru Miyamoto's comments about The Legend of Zelda "getting too complicated and it needs to be easier" bull[censored], I'm pretty much expecting the game to play itself combat-wise. That's what Twilight Princess' combat felt like to me, I can't even imagine this one.

Thanks, Nintendo, I used to be a huge fan, now I'm just bitter. Ugh. I hope so much that I'm wrong.

To everyone getting upset that the new zelda game is motion based:

The wii has four gamecube controller ports. Maybe nintendo will give two different control methods.

Edit: Not to mention there is a classic controller.

Owl statues.... owl statues... where is that?

what he means is that you have the option to perform a temporary save at owl statues, this means that you you save at the statue, and then you can resume afterwards at a spot, heres an example and a test statue:

in southern clock town on the west side of the clock tower itself, there is a statue of an owl, attack it with your sword and its wings will spread. if i were to save here at say dawn of the second day at 4:00 pm, i could resume the game at dawn of the second day at 4:00 PM. another way to actually save is by using the song of time forwards, if you play it forwards, you will be sent back to dawn of the first day with all important items, upgrades and such, masaks as well. if you play it backwards though, you can slow time. if you play the selection of the first three notes twice, which would be right right a a down down, you will travel into the future, and wont lose items.

dude you can use gamefaqs.com they have plenty of guides to help you along, a spoiler free one, and one that specialises in just about everything, seriously.
