I have the master quest game for the gamecube but I don't think it has majoras mask. Gonna play some starfox 64. Ahhh I miss tge days in blowing into your game cartriges and rubbing your N64 to run a game...

Pfft, blowing into your cartridges. I always slammed mine with more and more force into the system until they worked. After the 3rd slam they got the message.

There is 2 different disks. One is the Zelda Masterquest, which has OoT and the Masterquest Oot, the other game, Collector Edition, has OoT, MM, and some of the old NES Zelda games.

Speaking of Oot: Masterquest, has anyone actually beat it? I remember beating it when I first got the game years ago...it was pretty hard, especially when you played the original OoT so much and memorized the dungeons, like I had done.

I haven't even beaten the regular game. I always gave up during the water temple.

I haven't actually. At the time I had never completed Ocarina of Time, so I did the original first and never got back into it to play Master Quest.

The Master Quest cd was a pre-order item that you got with wind waker. The Collector's Edition disc came with special Zelda themed gamecubes, it has the NES Zelda games and the N64 Zelda games.

The only difference is all the dungeons in Masterquest are different from the original OoT.

I had grown so fond of OoT that I simply abandoned masterquest, rather than blemishing my memory of OoT's dungeon layouts. I made it to the Fire Temple.

The Collector's Edition disc came with special Zelda themed gamecubes, it has the NES Zelda games and the N64 Zelda games.

and I think it still costs $60.

The dungeons are all a lot harder. I did it and only got to the Shadow Temple and couldn't get any further. From what I remember, and it's been a while, it's actually hard and I just couldn't do it anymore because I couldn't figure out what to do. That's coming from someone who has beaten OoT like 9 times all the way through.

Thinking of getting a Tri-Force tattoo.

Yay or Nay?

And I have that Collectors disk, but no gamecube. Oh well if I need a zelda fix, I can always turn on the SNES or N64.

My God, the "inverted song of time" song is an HUGE help, by the time I beat the final boss in Woodfall temple day 1 wasn't even over! can't thank ya' enough, Ninja Monkey.

Am I the only one here who had to use guides/faqs/walkthroughs for OoT on the first playthrough?

I want to get it on my wrist, but I can't remember which way it's pointing on link's gauntlet in OoT.

Was it pointing towards his hand, or his elbow?

Don't feel like busting out the N64.

I'm not sure, but
Spoiler
Ganondorf had a Tri-Force symbol on the back of his hand, and it pointed up(towards his fingers)

As did link and zelda. because they each held a piece.

Link's was courage. Zelda Wisdom, and Gannondorf was Power.

So it pointed toward they're fingers.

So if he had his arms at his sides, they would be pointing down?

Isn't that where you use each note twice? I think it is. I still need to find out the variation of the song of time that slows time down, though.

i thought i had mentioned all of this in my previous posts.

oh and youre gonna go through hell for the snowfall temple trying to find the fairies.

Yeah, the first time through there was a real pain.

The Great Bay boss is the worst part though.

You can get it from gamestop used for a little under 30 bucks.

I did, but at the time I was still new to video games (Ocarina of Time was the first game that I really got into).

EDIT: I just realized that I've never played Four Swords Adventures on the gamecube. Looks like I have a purchase to make.

I'm not even focusing on fairies, I might go back and get the fairies once I finish the game though. I'm also not on the snowfall temple yet.

I didn't like the look of Skyward Sword

I really liked Twilight Princess' look and feel to the game but I felt the controls weren't quite up to par with previous games (I want my shield control to be back)

I didn't really take a liking to Majora's Mask either

It reminded me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_Day_%28film%29 and that made me want to shoot myself

This, the controls were off, and Tp had an amazing art style, zoras domain and snowpeak were amazing. Some of the most memorible game environments for me.

I'm sort of liking the art style they're using for Skyward Sword. I've been waiting for a new Zelda for a while, hopefully it turns out alright.
Here's the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dYgrMz_XBI for those that missed it.

I liked the cell shaded WW, but TP has had the nicest environemnts imo, if only it was as big as WW.

I don't like the cartoonish look this game is presenting. I like the more realistic approach of Twilight Princess.

This.

To everyone getting upset that the new zelda game is motion based:

The wii has four gamecube controller ports. Maybe nintendo will give two different control methods.

Edit: Not to mention there is a classic controller.

I like the new control scheme, seems fun.

I'm looking forward to Skyward Sword. I've been a Legend of Zelda fan since the very first game. My favorite part of each game has always been the dungeons. I also like being able to at least partially choose the oder in which I do them. Twilight Princess was sorely lacking in this area. Hopefully Skyward Sword will bring that back. My favorite LoZ game to date is A Link to the Past, with Ocarina of Time a very close second. My favorite item so far is the Hookshot (or Clawshot, as it's called in TP). Anybody else got any favorite items?
