The Lemming Rush

Post » Sat Sep 26, 2009 12:27 am

Due to the nature of buffs its extremely funny how the noobs just go rushing out of the spawn before getting buffed, causing people to chase after them to buff them, and then the other people chasing after them to buff them and so on. This effect usually turns into a bunch of lemmings rushing into die.

So pro tip: nubs who rush out of the spawn without getting buffed, let them rush out to die because it only leads to fail cascade.

Yeah, I noticed the super sprint when trying to buff someone faster. I use it all the time.

EDIT: Well this should've been common sense but....

Refrain from following people for the duration of your life. Rather, once you have reached a suitable location, deploy yourself into a defensible location and then set about assailing the enemy combatants without fear of them returning fire by making use of accessible cover.

Lol hopefully I have explained my ideas clearly enough

I hate it when people don't bother to check my class, and after buffing standing there waiting for me to return the favour  I'm an Operative, silly!

Buffs are nice, but with a good strategy they aren't even necessary. Don't get me wrong. I buff people all the time, and I'm certainly happy to receive any buffs they can offer. But sometimes that clock is winding down a little too close. Strategically reloading at the right time, ducking and covering, sliding, and even the simple act of being as quiet as possible to stay off the radar can do just as much good when used correctly.

Enh, bots don't buff enough and I usually get stuck with a bunch of human soldiers so that's useless too. Not like you need buffs to win anyways, and I would rather get my offensive/defensive front set up and recieve buffs then rather than sit around buffing in the spawn.

If you can't buff and coordinate on the move you've got no business handing out pro tips. :P
