Entry 1: Background

As a cub Donovan was captured into slavery and separated from his family by the dark elves. While serving the dark elves he developed athleticism and a knack for thievery as his little way of getting back at them. Donovan would steel food and books about magic when no one was looking. He also loved the Bow and Arrow and would watch the elves train with them very closely when he could.

One day he was spotted in town by a young imperial girl who thought he was cute, and begged her parents to adopt him. She eventually convinced her parents to rescue him, and moved him to Tamerial. The little girl gave him his name, and her parents educated him in the ways of trade. Thus Donovan grew up to have great affections for Imperials, and an equally passionate disdain for Dark Elves.

As Donovan became more educated he developed a need to move out on his own and begin a free life. The little girl was sad but her parents explained things to her, and Donovan promised that he would not let their good deeds go unappreciated.

However trouble was afoot and on the night Donovan was to set out on his own, the only family he had known was massacred in the night by mysterious robed assassins. The Imperial guard quickly arrived and they believed that it was Donovan who had slaughtered the family. He begged and pleaded with them but they would not hear reason, and Donovan was thrown in jail under the Imperial City.
