I love the name "Skyrim", so it's got to be...but "Esroniet" would also be neat.

While not trying to sound like a conspiracy nut, anyone consider that MK's flood of Skyrim references could be part of a disinformation campaign?

Just saying.....

If it is a conspiracy to fool us it failed miserably and svcked royally, most are not fooled it seems.

Not concept art. "http://www.imperial-library.info/obscure_text/aldudagga.shtml". Or just concept writing, I guess.

Banksie is a famous Grafiitie Artist - his stuff gets serious media attention in the UK - that's the writing on the wall ...

Besides who knows what Beth have stored in their vaults ... and who they will pull in for the next release? It could be old favorites, total unknowns ...

When they did Morrowind that was a total change from what they had been working on. In fact they had intended to release something else instead ... but they had loads of stuff from a previous bash at Morrowind and things just gelled with new stuff that came through.

It seems we know what is intended / worked on at the moment ... but until they actually release offical screenies and stuff it could go any way.

It may be the real difference in proceedure between Morrowind and now is that they are taking into consideration the console links from the start ... and that must affect planning the whole dang thing as each console has its own technical and target audience biases. So the Lore and the technical stuff has to find ways to work with four very different spectrums of requirements. It would be nice if lessons had been learned with the release of Oblivion and the expansions that would enable the team to make TESV much bigger and more open than TESIV - are you a betting man?

As has been mentioned above all that has to mediate against Valenwood Lore as it is set - because of the cannibalism. It is possible to create Mile-high trees using Blender or Speed Tree and the CS for Valenwood ... it's been done on computer, but it is not easy and I'm not sure if the Consoles can handle that in an ES kind of space. Although some of the work needed has been approached already with the separate world-spaces that cities have in Oblivion the requirements of the Capital of Valenwood, Falinesti, are for a far more massive in-game presence ...

Again Elsweyr would be fun, but you tell me, would Wii and Playstation fight a bit shy of the Moonsugar angle ... and Elsweyr has Tropical jungle in the South - the Tenmar Forest as its called. Then there is the question of rear/lower leg reticulation - maybe a must for an Elsweyr release. It's good to have dreams though.

The last big kicker is the 'markets' - a whole new load of financial structure may emerge from that ... and that may do strange things to investment capital ... Beth said it cost 100 million to make Oblivion ...

right...

im pretty sure proweler was referring to "writing on the wall" in the sense of clues being right there, not in the literal sense of someone writing on a wall.

That was a reply to someone else, but it works all ways with Banksie - he doesn't scribble narstiness for the sake of distressing people - he doesn't waste space with spam or half-understood and thinly veiled insult - basically he comes right out and says what the people are really thinking. And he's seen as a kind of dangerman as he has been known to create house-sized artwork right in the center of high-security areas.

The only difficulty in answering your question arrives in actually identifying him personally - because no one knows who he is.

But I reckon you could get a few hundred thousand for one of his works - if you could establish that it is the real thing and that you have title to it. Surprisingly there are not that many phonies around who would even try to copy him because his messages are so simple and effective it would take great skill and he is held in such respect in the community.

Right that was a bit obvious.. :P but does anyone know of which "writing on the wall"/Concept art Prowler is talking about? Have I missed something here?

Pretty sure prowler was referring to the fact that the word Skyrim has been patented by gamesas, to MK's remarks in this thread (MK is a Dev who does Lore and artwork) and he is also saying that certain dev/s have been talking about written Lore/background ideas & stuff they have been working on - but unless the Obscure texts are part of that I don't think anything has been announced publicly. it's an accumulation of stuff that points in certain directions ... but I'm still waiting for the fat lady to sing ...

After all it could be Sklyrim, but way up in the future for example or Beth might junk the present lines of development and settle on something totally different, apparetntly just for the hell of it - as they have done in the past.

It's Nord myth.

Just so you know, Proweler wasn't talking about concept art (picture) but about concept writing (text) to set the mood for the mythological backdrop of Skyrim. Like he did for Morrowind (The 36 Lessons of Vivec), Oblivion (Commentaries on the Mysterium Xerxes) and Knights of the Nine (The Song of Pelinal).

The Aldudaggas are part of the preliminary work for Skyrim.

Both art and writing ... but I shall feel safe knowing that big brother Gez and his pals are watching over me ;)

Good for you, oh Banksie's Greatest Fan.

In the meantime, I was talking to Oborrwind and explaining him what proweler rather than 1999, meant by "writings on the wall".

Sorry for having derailed your graffiti-appreciation thread with this off-topic digression.
