I dunno about that... this is Blizzard we're talking about, the Masters of Delays. gamesas's recent full game works are about two and a half years in between (assuming FO3 release goes as planned).

Yes of course but I get the feeling that Diablo 3 is almost done. But as you said it's Blizzard the Emperors of Delays.

They're maybe making Fallout goes MMORPG?

Allready in the making by Interplay, http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Online. But what do they know?

Do you really wanna know?

Indeed we do! Is it really us that will "write the next Elder Scroll"? Does the Doom of the lore forum march upon the mountain?

Considering Martin's final speech I have wondered if TESV wouldn't be called Empire; That being the building of the next one. The entire continent available with hundreds of battles like Bruma...the conquering of Tamriel.

Okay I'm dreaming I know. But its good to dream.

When something that appalling is mooted sometimes the only recourse is mirth - but hey maybe you were off-topic and wasting everyone's time?

It's a grandiose dream alright scourgicus, but if they cannot realise one Province fully because the engine they have is too resource-intensive then I guess we will have to wait a bit fo rthat one unless they alter the scale totally.

Dont really off-topic but anyway.

Yeah they could try and make it more Morrowind style with the fog and all, but I doubt it would work well anyway as it would be such a large scale with landmasses.

To be honest with you all, I feel as if they are possibly alluding to Argonia or Valenwood. Valenwood has had very little happen in it, and Argonia was a planned game (Eye of Argonia was replaced by Redguard, I think). Elswyr (spelling?) could very well be a possibility, but I don't see it going in that direction, myself.

For all we know, it could just end up being ANOTHER Morrowind or Oblivion (hopefully more scaled out and perfected), that features a bit more than a landmass that we can walk over in less than thirty minutes.

We might even get a taste of High Rock again, who knows...

I thought it was going to be a "sequel" to Redguard, but it got canceled before even leaving preproduction because Redguard sold a grand total of about three copies...

Blegh. You make it where I can't run around being Mr. Stealthy Thief/Ranger Guy, and you lose my support.

I did some thinking on the topic today, and come up with a rather odd thought - maybe they're working on the lore of a region as they make it. Not a lot was known about Morrowind until it came out, so there's a possibility that Skyrim is a very good chance of being the next location. We know a bit more about Skyrim, than, oh, Valenwood, so chances are they are working on it as they go.

Just a passing thought.

No offense, but the alternative would be pretty absurd.

I really do hope that MMORPG is not the next step in the ES series. One of the things I really love about MW/Oblivion is single player. I just could not deal with the script kiddies, griefers, and spammers that infest so many MMORPGs today.

I would have liked to see Hammerfell and Argonia in the next game, though Skyrim and Summerset are the most discussed apparently.

I know I'd love a TES: Total War game.
A spin off, of course, and definitly made by the Creative Assembly crew.
No cheap imitations ;)

Well, they're making some kind of MMO. A TES: Online game is the most likely.
However, it is not Bethesda that is making it, it's their sister company "Zenimax Online". TES V will probably be another game, and if their smart, they will do like the Warcraft-people did and not let the events in the MMO affect the original series.

Come on, though. I think they would just be selling the series short by doing that. But, then again, I can't even promise that I wouldn't try it, so long as it's comparable to the base series. No point-click combat, damnit! I hate that.
The question is, though - if TES online is the next game that we see, will it be one province, or at least several? (which I hope, at the very least.)

I'd be most dissapointed if they didn't.
Of course, I'd be most dissapointed with a TES MMO no matter how they make it.

Is it too early to start whining 24/7 that they're going to make "Fallout 3 without guns"?
