[Possible WIPIdea] The Lost Kingdom

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 10:24 am

Mod Name: Ahsi Shadae: Revelations.

Quests:

1 – Discerning Dreams.

Discerning Dreams: Let's begin this with a simple thing. First-of-all, to begin this quest, you must be level fifteen. The Reason I decided for such a thing is due to the difficult level of the Main Story-Line. Therefore, to begin it, all you must do is sleep for 24 hours at level 15 or higher.

At some point, while your sleeping, you will be transported to a small pocket-dimension, which just happens to be the dream world. There you are free to control your character. However. There will be heavy restrictions to your path-movement. Therefore, it's going to guide the player mostly to the main points of the dream and until it is finished.

The beginning of the dream starts within a forest; The season is Fall, and there is a thin pathway that leads straight ahead. From the tree-tops is a constant raining of dead-leaves [orange, red, yellow leaves] and the sky is ablaze with the beautiful fiery composition of dusk. On the ground, there is a thin layer of mist. Not far ahead rests a massive, wooden built mansion, carved with stone at it's base. The mansion's roof reaches the Tree-tops.

Once inside, the hallway entrance is massive. The floor is cold, wooden. Aligning down the center of the Entryway-hall are massive trees, that don't have leaves, and their branches wind out all-over the ceiling and interconnecting with one another. The floor itself, like outside is blanketed in a thin layer of mist. And Also like outside, the lighting within the mansion is the same as Dusk's fiery glow. The Mansion is empty, besides the architecture, windows, and doors, there is nothing in it.

(WIP) [only one pic which the looks are subject to change] [img]http://img805.imageshack.us/img805/8343/dreamworldwip.jpg[/img]

[I am going to have to recalculate some things with this, due to a slight-lag when in the interior, however, what you see is the basic design of it. I should have more uploaded some-time soon.

The player in Morrowind exists in the third era. That's the only problem I see from the get-go. It would be a cool thing...You could also make it very compatible with other mods by just using an existing tomb without modifying any land. Have fun!

O_O Sorry; Simple Wording mistake I knew that; besides, the reason I decided it as an interior was for the very reason I want it compatible with almost any mod out there. lol

If you can pull it off, sounds awesome! I was planning to do a large underground city, but I had a dream that showed me something glorious, so I built that instead with no regrets. I'll look forward to seeing what you come up with - interiors have so much potential for interesting lighting!

I agree with that lighting statement. It's going to have a multitude of different lighting based on how far in the quest you have got. But what is this mod you speak of?

Keening. There's a WIP thread here on the gamesas forums. People here have been great, offering a lot of help and tips!

Heh, well - very cool, then. ^_^ Only a small handful of people post on the thread, and only like 5 people have asked to try out the beta, so that makes me happy.... but this is your thread, not mine. ;) Have you released any other mods or is this your first? Me, I just started modding in December. Sometimes I wish I took on a smaller project, but then it wouldn't matter to me.

First mod I am actually going to try and get released. But I have done a number of personal mods in the past. So I have some experience with the CS and 3d modelling.

I am planning on designing my City, with a Babylon/Hanging-Garden's like theme to it. :D [random fact] lol

I'm pretty certain that can be changed, no?

But those lore-claws would criticize you till you die. Total Conversions are immune to lore-claws. I personally can't stand for a mod to change the time unless it's in a new space. Int as ext? Time travel, baby!!!

hahahah It will be an interior acting as an exterior. I wanted to make this unique. This is going to deal with a Daedric-Prince, the Tsaesci Lord, Ahsi Shadae, and a bit of twisted storyline.

In-fact, there will be a major revelation, that twists back too the time of Creation and forward After the the tragic events of Morrowind.

I'm liking the epic projects people are working on now. Between this, Keening, Expanded Sotha Sil, Azurian Isles, Athlis Continent, Province: Cyrodiil, City of Balmora: Hlaalu Expansion, and Sunfall, I think playing Morrowind is very soon going to take up even more time than it did years ago before I quit.

If Morrowind is crack, than modded Morrowind is like crack mixed with crystal meth and heroin. :P

I am too; Although, Admittedly, if you like the idea of this, don't put too much hope in it. This is a personal project that i am willing to release to the public. Yet, while I will keep updating my process to try and maintain interest, this has no due date.

Therefore, and henceforth, this will be my first mod to ever be released, though not first made, and I plan to make it big. regardless of what other's sneer at me with.

However, I am still most excited for Keening and expanded Sotha Sil.

"When's it gonna be done?"
"When it is done. We work on OUR time. Not yours."

This is the one quote I keep no matter what. Abuse it. :P

Small Update: I have decided to begin the entire main-Quest with something Unique. It will be unique to me because it involves I dream I had in-real about two-years ago, and should be unique to the player because of how it's portrayed.

The Starting Quest is called "Discerning Dreams." The Interesting part about this dream is that you will be transported to the dream world in real-game time, rather than just reading it through text. This particular quest shouldn't be too horribly long, however, it, I hope will definitely catch the interest of the player's with a different kind of story-line and the subtle beauty of the mod right off the bat.

Just, I say, prepare for the strange and mysterious. A unique experience most definitely. In-fact, throughout the entire mod, I will subtly referencing a multitude of things, ranging from real-life mythology, to later events after Morrowind and Events of the Mythology of the Elder-Scrolls creation Story, before Morrowind, and finally, many the strange events will be a physical remake of some of the dreams i had in real life. The first Quest will be a remake of the dream I remember the best and holds most beauty and meaning to me.

I edited my first post; I am going to describe the mod as I work on it. Therefore, the pics will help somewhat with ideas too when uploaded.

So, please refer to the top of the page for the new info.

Return to III - Morrowind
