Sorry to hear that

My grandmother just passed away this morning.

She had been admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago so I know what you're going through. She had a blood clot in her neck, her kidneys had been shutting down, she was septic, and her intestines were blocked so she couldn't keep any food down.

The doctors suggested having her admitted to a hospice but my aunts and uncles decided to take her home and care for her there. Basically they said that it was pretty much guaranteed that she was going to die within a couple of days of her leaving the hospital but she held on for about 10 days.

She lived a full life, she was 83 so it's not entirely surprising but it is definitely sad.

Thanks and sorry to hear about your grandmother.

That's where her husband is from apparently.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I know how it feels to see a parent get fired over office politics.

Thanks. This is not directly related to my mom but all over NJ CVS brought in Vietnamese workers. They got better pay than the Americans who had already worked there and my mom was forced to kick everyone off the night shift for them.

As for my Grandfather he is in stable condition now and they are running test.

My thoughts as well..

So, lurk: uni is turning out to be pretty awesome. I'm staying on top of all my work, while also managing a social life with some friends I've made here. Only annoyance at the moment is my math class. My professor is going through the review before we start into the actual subject matter, but he's doing so at a breakneck pace, and still assigning normal amounts of work. So we're covering three or so chapters in fifty/eighty minutes a day, as well as the thirty-forty problems per chapter. It's quite a lot of work to get done everyday. He said once we start into the more difficult stuff, we'd slow down to the appropriate one maybe two chapters a day, so at least this won'tshouldn't last forever.

I am chilling out in my house and just bored......I go back to practice tomorrow at the time of 9am. My mom and step-dad are coming back from a trip today as well. I have beaten Morrowind in the past few days at my grandparents house and working on Bloodmoon. Also, re-watched Ghost in a Shell.....ugh my hand hurts.

Bloodmoon was amazing. I loved it. More than I love my own mother.

Anywho, I decided to drop my drivers education class and take another art class. If I can get into Advanced Placement Painting, I can paint a mural on a wall in the school!

My transitioning is still at a hault and I am just waiting for some time to get some more women clothing.......damn this process is longer than becoming a lich.

School started today. I'm in the library in my peaceful corner. Just listened to a 15 minute online lecture for my online foreign language class. This is going to be an easy semester and then I have one more easy semester and the work begins...

Going on a date this saturday. Hoo-boeh. Autumn's picking up, first leaves are turning yellow and it's cold and windy outside. Still, no rain expected for tomorrow. So hopefully my plans for tomorrow won't hit the fan at square one... still doesn't mean I am not nervous as a ticking lemming, 'tho. Still, all things considered, even if it's a bloody disaster, it's still a lot more than some of my previous attempts.

Started to notice a definite lack of familiar faces of CD, too. Maybe I'm just getting old and senile before my time.

Good on you, and good luck!

Thanks. :)

"And then I'll just... stop the blood flow in your arm so that there wont be... blood splattering everywhere...."

Geez, lady. It's just an IV... :unsure2:

On Saturday I am going to be guarding one of the entrances to a concert. Gotta make sure that people don't bring any alcohol or sharp objects, and check their ID. The bracelet they get with their ticket is a tag to notify whether the person is allowed to buy alcohol or not.
Some of my underage classmates managed to get themselves alcohol-bracelets with their fake ID. Things could get interesting at the entrance :lmao:

"Are you suuuure you're 18?" :frog:

So my family has just given me my biggest  moment in life ever. My mom commented on how I'll be turning 21 in a couple months and said she should start buying beer and what not now so that I can "enjoy" my 21st birthday like she did. I told her that I wasn't gonna be drinking on my 21st birthday nor would I be at any point after that. This surprised and angered her for some reason. She did the whole "You must be adopted" thing she always says when I piss her off and proceeded to tell the rest of my family about this. I tell em the same thing and add in, just to be clear to them, that I'm straightedge and this sends them all into a blind rage with me. I explain exactly what it is and it doesn't do anything except cause most to be pissed with me and my mom and dad "disowning" me.

I honestly do not understand my family and hate being apart of this family.

What is wrong with being straightedge ? That shouldn't be much of a shocker or something to complain about in a family unless your family may own a beer company of sorts.
Sheesh I couldn't imagine what would happen if you said you were gay or something, I am pretty sure you aren't gay just the reaction of the straightedge thing just surprised me and wondering if It could go further.

My grandmum is still pretty upset that my aunt is gay. So I'm sure another gay family member, which you are correct in saying I'm not, would make their heads explode or drive them all insane.

I would think that being 'straightedge' is a much better alternative than being an alcoholic, though from what you've said, I suspect they'd welcome you with open arms in the latter case.

Seems like everybody has pretty much started school already. I still have about half a week left before school starts. I signed up for as many AP classes as I could, so I'll probably have one hell of a time.

Son I am dissapoint you chose not to poison youself and ruin your liver. Seriously strange reaction, they are pissed at you because you dont want to intoxicate yourself. Just ignore them, if they think not wanting to get pissed, feel like crap and looking like an idiot is bad, then let them. Honestly with that reaction you would think it was the opposite and your some drug addicted alcoholic.
