*snip*....We drank up sang we are the champions by Queen and went home after a nice hug :)

The power of hugs is vastly underrated my friend.

Well, summer is drawing to a close for me. Looks like tomorrow I will be going in to Boston to help a friend set up his cousin's dorm and then tomorrow night we will be hanging out with a couple of girls I haven't seen all summer. The next day I will hopefully be going back into Boston with the rest of my friends on the last day of summer. If something gets screwed up that day I will be seriously pissed because it needs to be at least somewhat special / fun!

I got paid extra to come into work and clean rugs today. Two hours plus I got a Sunday premium, can't go wrong there. Next week I get to watch a couple of kids for some millionaires while they are still going to be in the same house. For the whole week no less. Must be nice to be able to hire people to watch your kids while your still home... At least they pay should be good.

Rush concert last night was amazing. 50 songs, wish they played all of 2112, but they just did the overture and temples of syrinx, they did play all of moving pictures though, so that was awesome, they played a bit of snakes and arrows, but when Neil played his drum solo...

Yikes, bread knives are rather jagged, aren't they. Must've been a messy cut.

Sorry to hear that bud.

Did you end up eating the bread, though?

Carved the hell out of it. Maybe next time the french bread will thaw properly.

And yeah it's cut pretty deep. Close to the bone.

Sounds very excruciating. I hope you're doing fine and that it heals properly.

Surprisingly it doesn't hurt. After cleaning it with all kinds of stuff, which was the worst part, I wrapped it up in gauze and tape.

I am thoroughly convinced that my new guitar is cursed. 28 "accidents" have occurred so far. People have been stabbed, cut, hit, fallen upon, snapped, bruised, and burnt (knocked down a cup of hot coffee) by this guitar! I've pricked myself with the stray strings, and so have other people. I have cut my finger on the first string 2 times, it's fallen on my little sister's head, 2 of the strings snapped and cut my arm, it's been knocked into a few heads, and it spilled very hot coffee onto my nether regions! I think I should just get rid of the thing! It scares me!

It's probably trying to find its real master, and despises everyone who isn't him.

Also, it's the 31st already, where did the time go? It seems like just yesterday I was flipping the calender to August.

I finally managed to organize (at least organize enough) my room in my apartment for the semester. Took about 3 days and I just kind of tossed stuf in certain places as they may move again later in the near future. I do need o pick a few more things up and I do not have much food for the month, though I can pick some up when I head home the next couple of weekends, and my funds are running low. When I get my school refund check it will probably all go to my rent which svcks.

I also next week get to have three impected wisdom teeth removed. At least this time I will be put out for it. The other one was such an emergency I did it with a local anesthetic and was awake for the whole hour and a half it took to remove. It was not fun. Part of my tongue even went numb afterwards, and this was a year ago and its still the same. Hopefully the next few will be better.

You're not metal enough for it. Slap on some corpse-pain an' slip on some spiky leather and it'll start respecting you :P.

Ouch.
I burnt my fingertips yesterday, got blisters on three of them today. Hurt for about 5 hours last night but pain-free now.

Moving in a couple of weeks (overseas) and need to finish packing... also, going to see Inception tomorrow. I hear it's good.

Next week, it's back to school for me. It's currently 6 AM where I live, but I couldn't sleep for the entire night and I still can't now, so I'm going to try and get through the day without sleep. I have nothing I need to do, so it should be fine, but I feel sick, as if I'm going to throw up. Maybe I should back away from the computer.

Other than that, this weekend, I'm going to a state fair. I have never been to a state fair before, so I'm not sure what to expect. Funnel cakes, snow cones, cotton candy, and a ferris wheel?

My new gaming laptop arrived today. I say "gaming laptop", but it's not really designed for gaming. However it fits my casual gaming need. And after a year of gaming hiatus, I've taken no time in getting straight back to it. I'm installing my copy of Mafia II as I type this. I also rejoined this forum after a while of inactivity, so I'll probably be posting more frequently, as I have missed interacting with other users in this community. On an unrelated note, I go back to college next week, which I'm kind of looking forward to in a way. I'm trying to fill my last week of the holiday break up with gaming as I've spent most of the summer outside. I feel it is time to stagger back in my reclusive state for the winter.

After school today, I went to Walmart and picked up the new Disturbed album. So far, it's been pretty boring.

Man..I hate Facebook now. Before it's been a way to keep in touch with my buddies(some over seas) and family(when I am not home) but today if the worst thing didn't happen. I log in just as ever except I see the one thing I never want to see again in my life, my ex girlfriend. Doesn't help we have 27 mutual friends and have of them just went down their friend list recommending her for friends.

I also thought I was over her, really did. Apparently I am not because now I just feel depressed after seeing her picture and thinking how our relation ship ended with me getting a text just saying "Sorry, I don't think this can work anymore" followed by lies, which turned out I was getting lied to already. Ugh, I seriously feel sick now. wtf is wrong with me...

Right now I'm listening to Pokemon music. I'm supposed to be going to my aunt's wedding this Friday in Brooklyn. After it's over, she's moving with her new husband to Holland.

Why Holland?

Got home from work today and learned my mom might be out of a job.She is a a manager at a CVS,and has worked at the same two stores for 25 years now.Basically the new District Manager wants to clean house of all the older managers and anyone she doesn't like and set things up in her own way. They are not out right firing my mom because they have nothing to fire her over but the DM wants her to transfer to a store about an hour away from home, hoping my mom either quits or caves in and is out of her district. My mom technically has a choice in the matter and can reject the transfer but pretty much guarantee the DM would look for the smallest excuse to fire her.

I found out today that there's a spot in Finland where you run a race carrying Swedish women. This makes me REALLY want to get in shape so I can enter and do well

Sorry to hear that

My grandmother just passed away this morning.

She had been admitted to the hospital a few weeks ago so I know what you're going through. She had a blood clot in her neck, her kidneys had been shutting down, she was septic, and her intestines were blocked so she couldn't keep any food down.

The doctors suggested having her admitted to a hospice but my aunts and uncles decided to take her home and care for her there. Basically they said that it was pretty much guaranteed that she was going to die within a couple of days of her leaving the hospital but she held on for about 10 days.

She lived a full life, she was 83 so it's not entirely surprising but it is definitely sad.

That's where her husband is from apparently.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I know how it feels to see a parent get fired over office politics.
