So back in 2009 I hosted my second RP on these forums, that RP was the Manhattan War. It actually finished and I made a sequel to it that also finished. At the end of the year there was an RP award thing and the Manhattan War Series won best RP of 2009. So that obviously meant people liked it But when I made the RP I was a newb at RPing, I have always wanted to redo it with the skill level I have now, so I am now deciding to do that. As for A Brotherhood of Outcasts I would love to continue it but we lost half of the members so I don't see any point. Nonetheless here it is, the Manhattan War.... But first here are some pictures to give you a sense of what Manhattan and the factions are like.

October 19th 2277
Manhattan, New York

In 2127 multiple Vaults in New York City opened, but when they did the inhabitants were greeted to nothing but ruins, but Manhattan Island was largely intact. Most of the Vault dwellers moved to Manhattan and began to create a society, but most resorted to criminal methods. Murder, slavery, and theft became a number one factor in Manhattan, but despite this communities managed to grow and thrive, and several factions formed, factions that would one day be very influential in all of Manhattan….

The year is now 2277 and Manhattan is on the brink of war, Scarlet Rose and her army of Chronicles are considered to be the rulers of Manhattan, despite there many flaws they manage to keep there people safe but there goals are considered to be useless. Marcox the Ghoul has built a rebellion against the Chronicles, they have taken over the Soho district and have cleaned it up, they want the entire island of Manhattan to themselves so they can shape it the way they see fit, but the Chronicles are against them.

There is a lot more factions. Those are just the main two. Theres Mafia, Tribals, Slavers, a massive Raider Gang, Mercenaries etc.

I'm interested... We'll need about 6-8 people for this to have a chance.

EDIT:Also on the map which faction owns what....I could edit the map so that it shows that.

When I originally did it there was close to twenty members.

I doubt 20 people would join, not because of the idea, but because I guess most rps dont go over 10 pple

Although...I would definately join if I can be a bounty hunter/merc who gets paid for working on both factions...

Matter of fact....could I even have my own custom faction? Big or small, bad or good, whatever...?

You can have your own custom faction but keep this in mind, the Chronicles are the biggest faction in Manhattan and they only have around 350 members. The Rebels are the second biggest and they have about 200. For those who want to have there own faction no more then 75 members.

You are correct. This was just a basic outline of the plot.

Anyways, I like it. When you do the full outline, make sure to make it in-depth and creative. I can't tell you how many RP's these day have a simple 2 paragraph intro with no other details... And people wonder why they die. :stare:

Until a couple of weeks ago, there wasn't that many RP’s but when “welcome to Grayditch”, the one surfer did (I forgot it’s name) and couple of people restarted their old ones (e.g New Manhattan) anyone who didn’t join them/ didn;t like them started their own Rp.(although they were usually to inexperienced to keep it running or get bored of the idea)

Yup, mostly because the Hosts keep things interesting and the Ideas are quite sound. Plenty of dead RP's could have made it past 4-6 threads, but like you said the hosts we're inexperienced or didn't have enough time on hand and it led to the players getting quite bored. There are also a couple people who join and can't commit, which leads to a lack of player to player interactions, which leads to death.

Its all really quite depressing.

This looks very interesting, but as has been said, more factions would be nice. A bit more backstory to. Details such as what the status of Super Mutants are, local rumors and what not.

I would love to join this as The Programmer.

I'm monitoring this just to see how well you can commit. You have a HUGE responsibility hosting a faction RP, and you also have to stay active in your other RPs.

I agree...there's so many Rp's going on that people don't stick with. We need someone to create one that everyone joins and stays active in. Xivilai, you could make one.

Hey josh, why does the leader of the chronicals have to be her? Just saying, kinda is dumb for a leader of a 350 people group to wear a bra only and ride a motorcycle*P

I am interested, in fact I have a nice idea for a character in mind. Think of a mixture between GLADoS and Mr. House...with very little power.

Thats just what she looks like, she wears different clothes. She wears the second chronicle suit but without a mask. And she doesn't have a motorcycle, there is no vehicles.

Sweat news. Imma have me my own faction. Maybe a bunch of cowboy like mercs and bounty hunters in a posse. Hey, are horses aloud lol?
