The map works zooming out?

I read this from http://www.giantbomb.com/news/skyrim-is-looking-like-the-elder-scrolls-evolved/3048/

"It's a nice touch that you can pull the camera out to a map view--which is actually just a sky-high perspective on the existing world geometry--to get a quick and evocative sense of how Skyrim is laid out and just how big everything is. "

If this is true is really amazing :turtle:

I believe Todd said this in a podcast awhile ago.

To be perfectly honest, I prefer the old map system, where the map actually looked like something your character would have. This way, I'll be constantly reminding myself that, no, my character can't fly, nor is he a magical seer.

Yes i understand your view , i see it as a magical eye or something , but i believe is better than the Oblivion map i loved Morrowind map but the Oblivion one meh :meh:

I wish to know when you zoom out that far the game pauses or you can still get attacked? any idea?

Plus this could add an annoying delay when you want to see the map, like in fallout when you want to go to your inventory there is that delay were the animation plays of you bring up your wrist closer to your face. Very annoying after a while, esp when checking back and forth unlike the instant map of MW.

That...is an interesting question. I assume the game pauses, though.
