Conjecture.

Bring yourself to steadfastness lest your coin transmute to dust. Lift your eyes to the furthest arcs of the void. Gaze upon the forgotten plane(t)s, the dead husks whose rot surpasses even that of Jone and Jode. Ponder the fate of all fools who rose against great AH ZII ROTH, yet knew not how to conduct themselves. Consider the ultimate end of all things mundrial should the world choose to walk like them.

I know he speaks because I hear the meaning.
I know he speaks because I, to, am him.
The three monkey faces agree. You have spoken.

And so it came to be that in the Dark Ages of the second era, when the continent of Tamriel felt the chaos of empire interregnum, that the wise looketh upon the multitude and spake:

-'Verily, they have spoken.'

And the multitude cheered and raised banners of many colours, and so the march unto victory began.
And no man who saw the crowd as it passed and shouted the names of Vivec was left untouched of heart, the ground itself wet with tears.

Merari and War_Psyence, dear brothers in Maruhk, for last 36 hours and few minutes i have learned Sermon 3 as if it would be me myself, as we solemnly swore in our meetings of Selectives. Now you, my dear brothers in Monkey Talk, come here with your words and purposes and quote MY SERMON!

Is this the Enantiomorph, brotherly betrayal by stab in the back? Is my heart to be carved out from my chest? Is it going to be spark to stabilize new Mundus? Am i to be Lorkhan? To be Moons in sky? If yes, then thank you Brothers in Selectives for this glory bestowed upon me!

The ending of the words is Second247-Reaching-Heaven-By-Betryal.

"Ohh you...look what they've done to me...My love bone's cracked. Yet I still love you, skeleton of encircled madness! Your maid-star shall give gift my remnants with beauty, as she's gifting yours. And AH, YES! Scatter. UNLEASH YOURSELF! I'll dig myself a home. HA HA HA! Yours are my ashes! This is no descent. No. NO! ! ! Ahahahah!"

He was agonizing, and kept laughing and talking. The chaotic silence that is death was upon him.

"WHYYYYYYY...!? " She cried a terrible, confused cry.

"I'm in the hands of your ever-changing mind, which is never there. NEVER! GOOD. GOOD!"

"This..."

And the skies know wetness ever since.

"What a beautiful morning this will be." -he stops- "Ah...DAMN! I can hear them laughing at me." The nonchalant young man said. He was liying on the floor, relaxed and feeling utterly sick of his life as it was then.

"Oh, little you. Here. Grab my hand already. Up! " Said the lady he was looking up to in more than one way.

"Where's that waste product? You know, what we're doing is just that, too."

[transmission incoming]

"Mistress, what are you doing? Why are you doing this? Careful. Please. Don't get me too busy. What else will you encumber me with? I see you're up to something interesting, familiar to me. Contemplate. This is my piece of advice. And please, find us a partner. Someone talented! We're in need of a bow-boy."

No.

"Don't be silly. I can help. You know I can."

Silence there.

"You, foreign one. I can't speak of my Mistress's intentions. It pains me. I don't know how she's to others. She's not always kind to me, that I can tell. I wish you well, and hope she won't write you a cruel fate."

No sermon quote.

Merari, I must say what you wrote was great. I was writing this Lorkhan wannabe-text and I saw...actually read second's post. A fine coincidence that Lorkhan is suddenly getting attention from 3 monkeys.

And wait, another Marukh face agrees. Sir, you spoke the real monkey truth.

Wasn't that based on one of Poe's works?

Im not sure.
Its been some time since I read Poe.

The Imperial Library lists its author as 'anonymous' and there isnt any information on it that I could find.

I always thought it was a particularly beautiful text though.
It was hidden under a book in the abandoned shack near Gnaar Mok, if memory serves, and I remember finding it for the first time and just having my mind blown.

In character reply:

No perils are mentioned in the finding of Moon Axle, but it was known that he was immune to spears, so Vivec had to use the sword not held against him. Before he took issue with the monster, the warrior-poet asked: 'How came you to be immune to spears?'
To which Moon Axle replied, 'Mine is a dual nature, and protean. I am in fact made of many straight lines, though none last too long. In this way I have learned to ignore all true segments.'

The ending of the words is ALMSIVI

It could also be found in a bottle deep within the Sea of Ghosts, and for sale at the Raven Rock trading outpost. And likely other places.

Before the Towers are sundered the broken-brass prepares under the walks-like-us imperative for the I-are-all-we tri-Spirit.

ALMSIVI must watch carefully for the grasping Anchors of Midnight while the Talon, Paw and Fang drive each other into submission to the Despicable King's tune. The future hidden Lunar-walking-corpse laughs at its own machinations.

The peacekeepers have become the disruptive. Their influence decaying the bonds of dragonfire as grasping sins distort our sight.

The last of the Selective gasps for tainted air as the burden of our Mantle becomes reality and our hopes zero-sum. For what can one do against the inevitable my colleagues? Pray for this one for he has lost his way.

'Certitude is for the puzzle-box logicians and girls of white glamour who harbor it on their own time. I am a letter written in uncertainty.' We must wear the mantle of impossibilities and ride the tri headed beast, beloved of the forgotten Leaper King.

Pardon me, I have come late this untime. I, keeper of the Scythe-Eyrie of Temple Zero, swear to lift up the Elk in his [numinit].

AE CHIM AE LRKHN AE VEHK AE ALTADOON

I will protect the Elk in the arena, and turn the tricks of all thieves upon themselves.

The ending of the words is HIRCINE.

TAM! RUGH!

Brothers, let us breathe Kyne sideways across the Mundus! Misinterpret as one!

Zero sum talk is only dangerous for the uninitiated and the foolish. It is a verbal weapon of World ending proportions...

I wonder if you could trick someone into zero summing...

Combine confidence games with a touch of fast-and-loose psychology. Ideally your target will be too clever by half (trying this on a Clever Men is inadvisable); figure out their expectations and deeply held but unacknowledged biases. Nudge them towards cognition of honeytrap mysteries--allowing them to believe they are engineering their own enlightenment--until they attempt to grasp the tower from an entirely wrong and slightly embarrassing angle.
