i've got my faction overhaul about 1/4 done so far this year. kinda iffy about what category it would belong to. it changes stat/skill requirements for factions, and adds functions for being faction leader. it adds companions (though admittedly basic companions, but i am quite proud of what i've independently produced) and many functions are dialog based, and act kind of like "mini-quests".

i'm not sure if it's deserving of going onto your list, as i've gotten next to no feedback on it. but even with my 30-odd downloads, i've yet to get a word of complaint.

I'm completely and totally (four letter potty mouth word) honored to be on that list! after making Lazslo Manor i concluded that you should have to have made a mod to vote on a mod. To add to that there are many more that should be on there long before mine.

hehe - well it wasn't an end of year honour's list but it does cover the contributions of those actively modding in 2010 - and i haven't captured all that happened last year - but this is a good snapshot - we had some very busy modders - about 5 modders contributed a significant amount of mods - midgetalien was prolific and i didn't capture all of his, Alaisiagae did many texture replacers, Vurt was a landscaper on steroids, look at all the creatures Antares did and some massive mods were released from BHL and Trainwiz

it was a great year for mods - thanks to all who contributed :trophy:

This would be because there was a dedicated release thread for MCA 6.0 and then it was quickly updated to 6.1 and both of these were announced there instead of in new dedicated threads. If you are looking for more mods to list, but they have to have a release thread, then perhaps you should mention so. Ignoring a widely popular mod simply because it was announced in an existing thread is a bit...I cant think of a good word.

Thanks for this Illuminiel, it really shows how alive the Morrowind modding community is here at gamesas. I didn't realize so many mods had been released this year and had missed quite a few of these threads. Maybe next year there will be a release thread of my own listed somewhere in the "mods of 2011" list.

Thanks skydye - it did take a few painful hours of copy and paste - but I think it was worth it - it's a nice homage to those who contributed even if they were little mods or unusual ones like the 2d dinosaur race which by the way I'm still waiting for some decent clothing and armour for



I'm not sure where you are going with this - but if you check skydye's comment - pulling together the thread took an afternoon's work - searching on Relz alone brought up 25 pages and it took until about page 13 before I started getting into the 2009 releases.

Most modders will put relz into their thread title so forum goers can serach the forum for new releases - I imagine an even bigger list could be produced on what is listed as wip or wipz (seeing as you need 4 letters to search on)

As stated in the OP this is not intended to be the best of 2010 nor is it a comprehensive list - it is a snapshot of activity that happened on this forum in 2010 - there are of course many modders adding content all the time who never come to this forum for one reason or another - so let me be clear here, there is no ignoring going on at all - if anyone wants something added to the list that they released this year I'm happy to add it as I have done so with the link you provided.

Once again - thanks to all who shared this year - and especially to the new modders of 2010 it can be daunting releasing work for the first time - don't feel as if everything has been done yet - I stood in amazement under one of Vurt's new shrooms this year watching glowing dust fall down on me and some sort of dragonfly buzz by - it was breathtaking - and I laughed my head off at the 2D dinosaur (did I mention I'm still waiting for it's new clothes?)
