The Mordinos

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:00 pm

Introduction
------------

The premise of this RP is to roleplay as a Mobster, a man of the mafia. You start off
in New Reno with little cash and few friends. The city streets are filled with
prosttutes, drug dealers, gangsters, and civillians low on luck. It's up to you
how you make a name for yourself in this god-forsaken place. How will you shape your fate?
How will you affect the town of New Reno, for better or worse? The Don of the Mordino Family
has suffered a major blow in the loss of their new made-man, Arden Stone. Arden
was gunned down as he left his car at the Desperado Casino, by masked assailants. They
carried heavy-duty weapons, including Tommy Guns and Sub-machine guns.
The Mordino family has fallen from grace, becoming the weakest of the four families
in New Reno, even weaker than the Wrights.

This is where you come in. In order to rise back up as a respected and feared
family, the Mordinos need new men. You begin as the lowest rank, a Toad (Note:
This does not go by the Itallian ranking system for the Mafia). You must slowly
build your way up, possibly becoming the new Don, and successor of "Big Jesus" Mordino,
the current head of the Mordinos. With a sickly Don, a hard-headed and arrogant son,
and a crumbling Jet factory, the Mordinos are slowly dying. It is up to the new recruits
to rebuild the once prestiged family of the Mordinos.

Ranks
---------

NATURAL RANKS (These ranks go in a successive order, you impress someone high up in
the family, you rank up. Simple as that. Unfortunately, just because you're a great
Made-Man or Underboss, doesn't mean you're set up to be the Don. To become a Don, you really
have to do something special. Same goes for Made-Man. Sometimes you can go straight from
a Made-Man to a Don, but it is unlikely.)

1. Toad
2. Sheep
3. Associate
4. Footsoldier
5. Gunman
6. Enforcer
7. Made-Man
8. Caporegime (Crew Leader)
9. Underboss
10. The Don

SPECIAL RANKS (These ranks are usually stand alone, but some are successive like Natural
Ranks. To attain these you must do something important. Note: If you were an Enforcer
and become a Contract Killer, you can still become a Made-Man, or eventually Underboss
later.)

1. Family Advisor (Controls the cash flow and drug output)

1. Contract Killer
2. Hitman
3. Assassin

1. Driver
2. Chofure

1. Man-at Arms (Usually gets the best weapon rewards and biggest artilery)

Rules and Guidelines-------------------

1) Do not be all-knowing or mind-reading
2) Do not fast-forward the story, only I can continue the plot drastically
3) I am the host and have full control over every element of the game, including death
(Note: This does not mean I can just kill you when I want)
4) No language that the board won't allow
5) No romance, and be very non-descript and vague around strippers and prosttutes
6) Do not kill another player without their consent.
7) Do not control anyone who isn't your character
8) No godmoding or ubering, basically meaning be realistic
9) Use as best grammar and spelling as you possibly can
10) Do not determine the outcome of your posts, such as a bullet hitting someone.
11) List your location in bold at the top of each post
12) Have fun!

I will begin posting as my character soon. For now, I'm Little Jesus Mordino, a Caporegime in the family

My post:

Abandoned Warehouse, Northern New Reno

Little Jesus Mordino lit a cigarrette as the new recruits poured into the warehouse. They were led by several Caporegimes like him and the Underboss, Rorn Black. Little Jesus was dressed in a black leather jacket, and a dark pair of jeans. With one hand he took puffs from the cig, and with the other, he spun his switchblade, properly named, Lil' Jesus.
"All of you [censored]ers get in line, now!" shouted Lil Jesus, spinning the blade around wickedly.
"Aint got time for this [censored]... got a Jet deal to take care of down south..."
"Don't bust an artery," said the Underboss, Rorn Black, walking towards Jesus.
"I think you should direct that to my father," said Lil' Jesus, grinning.
"I don't take that humorously, Little Jesus," said Black, scowling.
"Oh don't worry. When the old man kicks the bucket, I'll be the new Don, and you'll be in trouble.
"Remember your place, you pice of [censored]!" roared the Underboss, gripping hold of Jesus' throat. But Lil' Jesus just smiled. Dozens of Toads were in the back of the warehouse, watching Mordino being lifted off the ground by Rorn.
Black let go of Mordino, and dusted off his jacket.
"Oh he will not be pleased," said Mordino, grinning. Black stumbled off, grumbling.
"Listen up you sons a [censored]es! Today you're becoming Toads in the Mordino crime family! You have all been given a small amount of money, to spend it on anything you like. I suggest you don't go burning a hole in your pocket to get Jet!"

Weapons: Brass Knuckles ($60) Combat Knife ($165)

Abandoned Warehouse, Northern New Reno

Darren, after having recieved his $250 left the warehouse and headed down into the sleazy streets of New Reno. Making sure to stash the cash in his shoe, he set off down the pavement, avoiding the crowds of shady looking characters and obvious jet addicts. Arriving in the Commerical District, he made his way to the shabby, partially destroyed building baring the sign 'New Reno Arms'. Opening the door, Darren made his way over to the counter and removed his cash from his shoe. "How much for that eh..." He began, browsing over the inventory on the table. "How much for the knuckles and that fine lookin` knife buddy?" He asked, eyeing up the merchandise. "$225." The response was gruff and quick, as was Darren's reaction. He removed the money from his shoe and counted out $225 exactly before handing it over. The merchant took the money, counting it slowly before giving Darren the two weapons in exchange. "Thanks." Darren muttered before stashing cash and weaponry away.

"Now where to next..."

The Irish man stood in the line up, his huge club hanging in his bulky right arm and his left hand in his pocket. He couldnt help but smile at the events between the young Boss' son and the family underboss.
Aigh, A wonder who's ead well be crack'n fur us first job.
He lifted his club, admiring its smooth planed and sanded handle, the head was a different story.
Littered with wide dents in the wood and knotches where he had parryed blades or someone had dodged his swing and he had struck courners of walls.

As Mordino addressed the line Artur stood still, leaning on his club.
He couldnt help but smile even wider as the man told them not to spend all thier money on Jet.
Nah drugs like but a wonder ef they mind booze

Virgin Street

Darren returned back to Virgin street, home to the infamous casino, owned by his new family. The "Desperado", two large, beefy looking guards stood outside the entrance, obviously with some concealed weaponry. Darren looked up and gazed at the bright neon sign which happened to be slightly flickering and slowly the whole glamour began to fade. The place was obviously in a bad way, missing neon letters, scraqed and scratched paint...It was in need of work, a lot of it too. Stepping forwards to the entrance, he entered the casino...

The Desperado

The casino was much like any other casino in New Reno, full of jet addicts and gambling addicts. The sound of slot machines rolling filled the air and the scent of booze and jet filled Darren's nostrils. He looked around, lost in a sea of slot machines before sitting the bar. Darren made his way over to it, avoiding the shady looking people who offered him jet. When he made it to the bar, he asked the bartender for a bottle of whiskey, which was promptly put infront of him. He handed the man a $5 bill and told him to keep the change. Then, opening the lid he took a sip from the bottle. "Hm. Wonder when I'll get my first job." He thought to himself, scanning the bar.

The Desperado

The cocky Irishman walked up to the bar.
"Aigh love, whats the price of ur poison?" He smiled to the young girl.
"I mean, he payed 10 dollars an ey payed 5 and apparently you kept the change."

He leant across the bar and passed her a scribbled note on a piece of paper.
"What duh' yey say about a bottle of brown then ey?" She giggled and closed the piece of paper, slipping it down her top and passed Artur a bottle of Whiskey.
"I will make it much worth yey while girl."

Artur picked up his club from atop the bar where he had left it, winking at the young girl as he walked off to a table in the courner, as he did the young girl slipped some money from her own pocket into the till and returner the smile.
