The most annoying creatures in TES

Post » Fri Feb 18, 2011 8:13 pm

'Sup.

I still don't remember seeing similiar topic here, so I'm once again gonna make one.

So, this is about the most annoying creatures in all TES games. Copy the list below...

Arena:
Daggerfall:
Morrowind:
Oblivion:

... and make your choice.

Note: Men, Mer and Beast races are counted as creatures.
Note2: We all know, that Cliff Racers are extremely annoying, so replace them with something else.

Those giant scorpions in Daggerfall were annoying, especially when they paralyze you. Otherwise, they're easy to sneak up on.

I can't stand Imps on Oblivion, I don't know why they just look so annoying flapping their wings

Morrowind: Cliffracers Betty Netch

They just look so attackable.

Oblivion: Wraiths

I hate the undead, but Wraiths especially. I was in first-person, playing the game late at night and I walked into a cave with a Wraith directly at the entrance (literally 1 foot away from my character's face). I didn't know there was anything in the cave (it was Vahtacen) so I freaked out ran out, and literally jumped when it screamed.

Arena: I always found Lizard Men to be annoying. Probably because they can paralyze.
Daggerfall: Harpies were pretty annoying when you ran into them at lower levels.
Morrowind: Excluding the Cliff Racer, Scamps are pretty annoying. Their voices are just annoying. Those Dwemer Spheres were pretty annoying too, but I think the Scamp is more annoying.
Oblivion: Will-O-The-Wisps were irritating when you couldn't hit them.

Clannfears in Oblivion were annoying as hell. They had way to much HP and they hit way too hard for their level.
Cliff Racers in MW obviously were annoying.

Arena: Never played this one.

Daggerfall: Scorpions, especially in groups.

Morrowind: Everything. Terrible combat system and ugly enemies made every fight a nightmare.

Oblivion: Probably imps, but I'd say Clannfear take the cup because of their jump attacks hitting from a few miles away.

Arena: Ghouls were very annoying. I'd always catch some sort of disease when I fought one.

Daggerfall: Rats!! I remember when my dad first got me the game (now its free) I didn't know how to look down. I remember getting slaughtered by a rat multiple times until I figured the game out. That was annoying. Skeletons were also annoying as you can hear them screaming half way down the dungeon.

Morrowind: Greater Bonewalkers. Just so stupid. Everytime i'd come into contact with one, i'd end up leaving half my gear in the tomb/ruin/cave so I could go fix my stats or get some potions to fix that mess. Much more of a hassle than those stupid cliffracers.

Oblivion: Imps. The sound they made when they were hit was like this high pitch chirp. Extremely annoying.

Oh god. I change my Morrowind answer to this.

I love clannfears. They're easily my favorite summon because of how relentlessly violent they are.

Arena: Never played

Daggerfall: Ancient Vampires.

Morrowind: For annoyance in relentlessness, Cliff Racers. For out of pure sheer annoyance, Greater Bonewalkers.

Oblivion: Unmodded, Goblin Warlords. They. Don't. Die! Modded, the supped up version of the conjurer, with the power to flood an entire area with lag, and cast spells faster that you can snap your fingers.

Since I've not played Arena at all, and not played Daggerfall enough to say, I'll go with Morrowind and Oblivion, the former being either the Reikling raiders in Solstheim or greater Bonewalkers, and the latter being will-o-wisps, simply because every time I seem to come in contact with one, it never shows itself long enough for me to find them.

Morrowind: Werewolves. Seriously, you expect me to believe that they trashed the stone walls of an Imperial fort. Then, I hear them growling outside the Mead Hall, and hear tough Nordic men screaming like little girls. But the catch is that the werewolves look like Wood Elves in dog costumes. What the hell is the deal, Bethesda? (Werewolves are still pretty cool).

Oblvion: Goblins, because they don't die, Elytra Matrons because they don't die and can walk on water, and Wraiths because they have a Cliff Racerian level of annoyingness sound effect.

Arena: never gotten round to installing it so...

Daggerfalll: i ran into harpies in a FG quest and couldn't harm them at level 2, now that was annoying. but its the size of the dungeons that annoy me more.

Morrowind: i dont know why people find Bonewalkers annoying. i run up to them and impale them without them having time to react. i ran into a deadroth once in the imperial legion quest had to use the door to block its magical attacks otherwise it would just kill me in two attacks. Apart from that i have only played around the south-west corner of vvanderfell (Vivec, balmora, ald-rhun, suran, gnisis...)

OB: will o the wisp, clannfears, goblin warlords are the worst.

Arena: Rats - Because the intro dungeon was as far as I got, and my right button on my mouse was acting crappy

Daggerfall: I don't really know, nothing too memorable yet. Probably just the imps in the intro dungeon.

Morrowind: 70 year old looking women who decide they are going to punch you to death while your swinging and enchanted longsword at them...

Oblivion: Will-o-the-Wisps, and Clannfears

Arena: Lizardmen. Paralysis svcks.
Daggerfall: This really depended on the resistances. A lot of times I hated paralysis so I made sure I was immune to it, so spiders/scorpions (and a bit of the ancient vampires outside their ridiculously OP shock spells) never bothered me. Overall though I'd have to say the Lich was the most annoying for me. Turn a corner, Lich in face, it casts AOE spells, kills you both. That, or Dragonlings/Zombies early level.
Morrowind: Cliff Racers and Greater Bonewalkers (always have to keep potions/scrolls around for those things).
Oblivion: Clannfear. No matter what my agility, no matter what my level, no matter what my skill in block. STAGGERED. EVERY. SMEGGING. TIME.

Arena: Ghouls, or Snow Wolves

Daggerfall: I haven't found any of the creatures I've encountered to be annoying yet, getting attacked by harpies while I was lost in the Alik'r Desert was frightening, but not annoying.

Morrowind: I would have to say it was the Greater Bonewalkers, I usually just run away if I don't have Restore Strength or either one of the Interventions handy...I like Cliff Racers...

Oblivion: Clanfears, they had too much health. My characters also have a tendency to be genocidal towards Goblins.

The reason I say Snow Wolves in Arena is because I'm currently stuck in the Fortress of Ice, they can kill me in 1 hit with their frost spell.
