I think all of the races are awesome in their own way and there are none I hate. The Dunmer are my favorite but only by a small amount.

thats easy the altmer orcs and nords are nothing but stupid mindless brutes the dark elves and wood elves are lower class elves brentons are nothing but magical upstarts nowhere nears as gifted as the altmer redgauards are ok i guess their the only race i pic when i need a fighter and the imperials are cool only because they learned a great deal from altmer culture and the reptiles and flea ridden cats are good slaves thats it

I agree with this sentiment. If it weren't for the awesomeness of the Khajiit, I'd say Bretons were coolest. As it is, they get a Solid Second place. The rest get blurred, but the bottom two are Altmer(So boringly elven to be the second-worst) and Imperials (Most offensive bile to ever come out of the Elder Scrolls brainstorming process)


Altmer? The race so anol-retentive it wants to blow up the world? And what's this about Khajiit being only good as slaves? You do know the oldest, original civilization in Tamriel is the Khajiit, right.



Also, the strongest warrior in all Tamriel is a Khajiit.

The worst race to ever disgrace the surface of Nirn are the Cyro-Nords, commonly refered to as "Imperials". They are thieves of two cultures, and possess nothing of their own. Thieves they are because they stole the reputations of Intelligence, civility, and magickal prowess from their greater predecesors the Nords, and stole the reputation of honor, martial prowess, political cunning, and military genius from the Bretons. With only a watered-down (to the point of being unrecognizable) form of Thu'um to their name, and the slander they heap upon their closest cousins, the Cyro-Nords, merely North-Men who've lost the essence of their being, should be re-assimilated into the races of their fathers the Nords, and cousins the Bretons.

Dwemer, I love steampunk

theres nothing smart or civil about nords their nothing but a bunch of savage barbarians barley above the orcs and after all of that they are still much better than flea bags

In my opinion the most awesome race in tamriel is the Dwemer because they used to wear "gold" armor and awesome weapons!
Ayleid are quite interesting too, but they are just to similar to High Elves.

Bosmer! We hold our own even if we are the laughing stock of all tamriel!

However nothing beats playing a redguard and rolling round completing dark brotherhood quests while sprouting out Samuel L Jackon pulp fiction quotes. :flamethrower:

Ive always liked the fantastical races more than the more realistic ones. Because reality I get everyday, it doesnt appeal that much to me.
Elves and beastmen over humans.

The Dunmer have a fascinating history and I like their stoicness. I have a soft spot for Argonians. I think they are beautiful and mysterious. Khajit, well, they are cats. I love cats.

But my favorite race is the Altmer. I always play as one. People say they act all snobbish and elitist, as if they think they are all superior.
I dont think thats really true, its just that they are superior. So to me its not so much attitude as simple acceptation of fact. They are in my experience usually quite polite, though maybe not that outgoing and sociable.
I very much enjoy roleplaying an Altmer in the games, because invariably in the end you become very skilled and powerful, and that matches their mindset. With great power comes great responsibility.

I disagree; culture is often intermingled, absolved and adapted by other people, tribes, and settlers just look at Europe and the modern Americas. If you apply this to the real world, most modern nations of today are thieves and possess nothing of their own. The greatest example is the English. As an Englishman I guess you could call us the Imperials of the real world we are cultural bastards. Celtic, Saxon, French, Roman…

Imperials are no thieves and to call them the worst race and a disgrace to walk on Nirn, is terrible, even if they are a fictional race.
