The most beautifully stunning area you've been to.

I just want to know what cave, dungean, ruins, mines, forts, etc you've been to that you had to stop and look at the surroundings for a few minutes I've found a couple of places that I thought where breathtaking but I can't rememeber there names at the moment. the bethesda team really did a great job with the art style and lighting in this game.

Every time I see a new terrain area I feel this way, it's hard to say. One of the coolest things was the Eldergleam tree when you go to retrieve the sap to repair the sapling in Whiterun. That place was so cool.

Sounds like a cool place.I have the game guide and there is this one mission that brings you to a cave with colorful giant mushrooms
I don't really want to say anymore because of spoilers so this picture will have to do.watch at own risk.

Blackreach blew me away. About 70 hours into the game and the game's world can still amaze me.

I have two so far. One is the Rift. I just love all those Birch trees and those autumnal colors. I hate to leave that place, it's so beautiful. The other is Solitude. I was wandering along the north coast and happened to look up at one point and just stopped in my tracks and gawked. I just sat there staring for almost a minute with my jaw hanging open.

Bethesda really outdid themselves with phenomenal art design in this game. It surpasses even Morrowind, as far as I'm concerned.

Labryinthian was quite atmospheric, in my opinion.

Overlooking the Sea of Ghosts was amazing. Or the Aurora Lights over Whiterun and the tundra was pretty cool. And Makarath was downright incredible.

Lots of stop and stare moments for me like the time I was hiking up to the South Watchtower and was dazzled by the amazing view, wind whipping snowdrifts off the peak then as the sun went down that amazing Aururas appeared shedding a red light across the sky... amazing!

Recently though it was a trip to Moss Mother Cavern a simple enough place but spectacular with a waterfall, trees growing amongst flowers and an open canopy roof with light and water trickling down.... amazing... if it was real life I would be there with my tent and campfire instantly :)

I forget the name, I think it's Ustengrav; it's the underground cave thing that has a forest and a waterfall and river in it. There's also a word wall, and if you look straight up in the main forest room, you can see sunlight from a hole in the roof, like you're in a volcano. When I first saw that, I was absolutely astounded.

I think that the most breath-taking area would be at the top of the Throat of the World overlooking Skyrim

I found the snowy areas at night to be the most beautiful. But in particular, I specifically found the auroras over the temple of the Greybeards to be just amazing. They were yellow and orange and red against the black night sky and snowy ground. Wow, I nearly fainted.

I agree. Just found it today, and it might be the single coolest thing I've seen in a video game. Was definitely not expecting it.

As mentioned, when you're atop some form of mountain or high place and look at the landscape, you can see the care that Bethesda have put into the game.

My favourite time on the game so far which had me beaming was when I was doing the Alftand dungeon. I've played many games and gone through many dungeons, but the way this was laid out, the loot inside, the monsters and just the length of the dungeon made me think "this has to be my most favourite dungeon ever". I guess all to their own, but that dungeon made life feel complete so to speak haha.

Yeah, that is beautiful. And the best part is i have a view like that from my window at autumn :hehe:

Also Lost Valley. That reminded some of the mighty, magnificient structures from the Shadow of the Colossus. And Nord ruins remind me of Tomb Raider Underworld. And dwemer ruins remind me of Bryoo from Metroid Prime 3 ^_^

There are a lot of breathtaking sites in Skyrim, though I think my favorite thus far has been the blue ice crystaline dimension inside Azura's Star. Also, I think Solitude is the prettiest town in the game, whereas I think Windhelm is a dump! lol
