The most logical reason why crytek nerf the weapons

Post » Sun Jun 23, 2013 12:34 pm

I've look to both DLC newly added weapons and they almost resemble the gauss and takedown rifles before the last patch (f) regarding the damage, recoil and gameplay.
I know they are different in shape, sound and handling; but if you pay attention to the power you'll see it.

Before you could easily take someone not using AA with a single shot from gauss (no headshot),
after the patch you need to shoot twice to the enemy.

Reduced damage both weapons, the question is why nerf them.
Do you have $15.99 dollars more than the enemy?
Then you have that privilege (more profit for Cry) to use a more powerful weapon, right?
So people can notice the difference and think "Ohh, $15 well spent!"
They had to downgrade the most powerful weapons available to fit their new ones.
Gauss Rifle they added that downward movement after recoil, because the could not reduce the damage too much.

That's the way marketing works in video games, or you guys give me your opinion please!

Well to be honest, they didn't overly nerf the sabot gun,but other guns seem to be over nerfed-if you get me-the M60 actually stops working sometimes(or it's just my attachments that cause a glitch:Hologram, match barrel and reflex)

Aswell not to mention EA might have something to do with it,after all it is an EA published game!

And yes it is a sad thing that marketing works like this, there's either the hard-core gamer who plays the **** out of games and buys all DLCs and the casual which they completely forgotten by the market! As well as the man in the middle has to chose whether he wants to be a hard-core gamer if he has the money or he can just get lost

This era is a dark age for gamers
