The most stupid way you've been killed?

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 5:57 pm

I once was backpedaling shooting fire out of my hands at a snow bear when I found out there was no more cliff edge behind me.

Bear followed.

I ran into a push cart. And it killed me dead.

I've had that one too. I should stop accidentaly running into stupid objects.

These.

It's [censored] to walk over some skeleton bones (not ones that are killable, just scenery) and taking damage. Haven't been killed by this.

I did however, walk into a cart, had it push me back as it flipped towards me. The best part; the cart was filled with lettuce when it flipped. Madness ensued...

After successfully bringing an ancient dragon down to 20% of its health then watching in horror as it crashes into the ground skyrocketing me off of the cliff to fall some 300 or 400 meters... Really Dragon? Really?

In a Dwemer ruin, backpeddling away from a couple of Falmer I stumbled into a flame trap I had bypassed earlier which completely drained my health.

I had been very careful up until that point (it was only my second death in around 40 hours) I felt so dumb afterwards for forgetting it was there. . .

I was going down a mountain side on Shadowmere when I came to the edge of a cliff. After a look I turned the screen to face the direction I wanted to go then pressed forward forgetting that the horse will make bit of a wide turn and ran right off the cliff.

I got impaled by a rib bone that spazzed out in a dungeon. I also got one-shotted by an arrow on full health the first time I transformed into a werewolf. Never used a wolfie for combat again.

The most "Awwww come on!" death I've had:
Fighting an Elder Dragon for the first time. I finally manage to get it down to a sliver of health (-) compared to my (-------). I ever so desperately wanted a finishing move animation on my first Elder, so when it pulled into third person view I practically fist-pumped. However, I soon realized that I was not about to swipe at it's jaw and jump onto its head. Nope. It chomped down on me like a tasty dragon slaying treat. :brokencomputer:

Edit: Another I just remember. I slew a dragon and it reared up on its hind legs in its death throes. Suddenly, a mammoth burst through it's chest like freaking Alien and charged straight at me.

Used whirlwind sprint and went over a cliff edge.
A real Wile E. Coyote moment.

I whirlwind-sprinted off a mountain cause I thought it depended on aiming direction.
I was wrong.
and then I died.

Dragon attacked Solitude and I wanted to shout at him but accidentally had Beast Form equipped.
Before I fully changed the guards and villagers had already clubbed me to death

i was low on health already but i knew i had enough to win until.......i shot the stupid undead moron with my bow and the knockback which i had to pick as a perk knocked him back into one of those ropes with all the bones on it, and that made a bunch of other undead guys come to life and kill me, i should have circled around to the side and shot him but i actually said to myself. No way in hell will the game set off a trap that way i have to actually trigger it......Nope... have not felt that dumb as a gamer in awhile

I was attacking a Frost Spider. I lift my sword, but my character model freezes, unable to attack. I can't move from my position, only able to rotate my character. svck it up and wait for death. This has happened twice.

That was pretty stupid.

Upon nearing Whiterun's gate, I noticed some of the "Companions" battling a giant. I decided to help them out and accidentally smacked Farkas in the face while I was wildly waving my hammer around. Instead of the usual "don't be mad bro, my bad", I see them all rushing towards me to "thank me for my help battling that big, mean giant"! After Farkas split my belly like a woman's purse, Aela stands over my corpse and says:

"You look like you'd make a good Shield-Brother. You should join us."

And to crown it all -- Farkas: "Join us and be a companion!

Needless to say, I never spoke to them again.

ya every mission i have been on with 'assigned' followers they have hit traps like they were trying to hit them especially the thieves guild quest line i won't say anymore cause i don't wanna drop spoilers ( yep so far you know some of the missions they give you friends to bring along bummer) kinda ruins immersion a tad when npc's that are supposed to be elite can't avoid a large plate in the floor especially when you avoid the by a mile.

*ya i like shooting arrows and stuff to lure monsters into traps such great fun :)

Fighting a Blood Dragon. Managed to kill it, ending with my health at only a few points, like 1-10. Right as it's died, a mudcrab hit me in the back.

Very low on health during a hard boss fight, I used the shout to freeze the boss so I could heal myself. Hit quick select menu, hit R1 and L1 on equilibrium instead of close wounds (right above it) and didn't notice, started casting and killed myself.

I rounded a corner and a Draugr Deathlord was hiding on the other side, and one shot me in the face with his bow.

Second time, with me expecting it, the fight was fine. But being a lvl 19 Mage with 100 health carries its risks.

thought it would be fun to jump off the bridge at the college of winterhall because there was a nice river under it. Turns out the water was a bit shallow causing me to go splat as i hit the ground.

Level 3 second dragon fight, some nice guards come over to help, was incredibly excited that i slayed my first random dragon until the guards decided to put a blade in my back.
