The Cult of the Ancestor Moths and Tiber Septim had their disagreements. The Cult didn't (or couldn't) take action against the Mythic Dawn, but they did succeede in booting Tiber from Cyrodiil City. That's pretty remarkable, suggesting a militant tradition. So the katanas aren't for show. I'll note the Moth-Priests are necromancers, in the classic sense. Now I appreciate the contempt shown Nu-Hatta.

I think the Ancestors are Akaviri. There's a kamal demon with a name similar to Nu-Hatta's, if I'm not mistaken. A Kamal demon also ruled Cyrodiil City, prior to Tiber's pogroms.

Ancestor Moth is just Redmud-talk for Scarab.

Nu-Hatta had the hotline straight into Shezy's reptilian hind-brain.
