The Mountains of Skyrim

Post » Sat Jan 05, 2013 10:13 pm

Other than the obvious Throat of the World, I've yet to read or hear any of the other mountain ranges referred to by names, like The Alps or The Rocky Mountains. Are any of the Skyrim mountain ranges given names? I ask because I'm kinda sick of referring to them as simply "mountains to the east" or "the mountains in the north".

The mountains to the south that border Cyrodill are called the Jerall mountains.

Jerall Mountains

I don't know them but i'll name those Lands that do have them

Skyrim
Cyrodil
Morrowind
High Rock
Valenwood
Elsweyr
Borders of Hammefell
East and West Border of Morrowind

Elsweyr may not have them.. But it might be the Rocky Canyons on the map.

Would you believe I've never really looked at that map! I think I missed the mountain names when I did glance at it because they're all so small and squiggly, and merge with the mountains. I'll have to have a closer look!
