http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremy_Soule did a fantastic job with the entire score.

Though most would agree the theme to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWuNf4gxwuM is perhaps his most memorable.

Morrowind

Yeah, I don't play with the background music on, but usually start a new OB game just so I can see and hear that awesome intro. Both intros get me into an "epic" mood, but in different ways -- in OB, I feel more up to taking on anything that tries to mess with me :D

Just lettin' you know, there's already a thread for discussing the music of TES, over in the Elder Scrolls Series Discussion Forum.

But, in any case, I agree. The opnening scene gave me chills, and the rest of the music is amazing as well. However, I do prefer Morrowind's music.

But this is a thread about Oblivion's music, in the Oblivion forums.

Alltough I like Morrowind soundtrack, it gets a little repetitive becouse you hear the same tracks everywhere you go. its nice to have some difference when exploring a cozy cave or walking in a sunny forest. still, both games have great soundtracks :)

Both Morrowind and Oblivion have fantasic music. Oblivion's is a bit more generic, but incredible nonetheless. I agree with Fallen One about Morrowind's getting repetitive, though.
