The Naked Nord Challenge.

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 1:46 pm

I just died in the most stupid way and I actually could have gotten far further but yeah...so here are the details:

http://i42.tinypic.com/no7ksm.jpg

Just a few hours before the fatal plunge, Ferdinand had a good drink with Faendal in the Sleeping Giant Inn in Riverwood.

Name: Ferdinand The Forgetful
Gamertag: SoKoLoV
Level: 3
Difficulty: Master
Tips: Steal a lot of things especially valuable stuff & pay a visit to Honningbrew Meadery (A lot to steal and the ale is very good to regain stamina + 2 difficult locks to pick and gain xp!)

The Naked Death: I had already achieved a point in Restoration and Speech so I got a little to excited about it. When having brawled against Uthgerd and Mikael without dying I thought I was invicible. I was doing some random quests in Whiterun and had just delivered the sword to the assisstant of Jarl Balgruuf and talked to the Jarl and his mage about the dragons. I took the exit from Dragonsreach and noticed the rocks just outside. I jumped on them and planned a large jump so I could lose some health, then use restoration and level more quickly. The first few jumps ment almost no loss of health. So I walked up the stairs, jumped around the large beam and put myself on the outer wall just above the rocks. I looked down and jumped right in the pool and died from the jump. Maybe I hit a rock or maybe the jump was to big, but well that's how my naked Nord died and I will remember him.

Well my Naked Nord is still alive and going strong on Master difficulty.

Bloody Mary, Serial Killer of Skyrim is currently level 8 and currently hiding out in Whiterun.

After the Slaughter at Hegan she made her way to Riverwood where she made the first of what would be many murders. When Camilla Valerius led Mary out of town Mary began to bludgeon Camilla with her fists. Camilla proved to be quite skilled with a knife though taking Mary off guard, but that was ok. Mary ran screaming for help into, running naked unarmed screaming and bearing mutliple knife wounds it was easy for Mary to convince some of the local men that Camilla who was chasing Mary into town with a knife was trying to kill Mary. The fact that she tricked the men of Riverwood into murdering one of their own delights Mary to no end.

From there she Mary made her way to Bleakfalls Barrow which she cleared out after much effort, more so to prove her own strength than any sense of honor or duty. The fight with the dungeons boss was a good half hour long brawl.

She returned to Riverwood to return the Golden Claw to its owner, more for the cash than anything else, Mary will be returning later to steal back the Golden Claw so that she can sell it elsewhere.

She then had uneventful trip to Whiterun. Well she did punch a Giant in the butt a whole bunch, but the Companions really did all of the work. Anyway, not much has happened in Whiterun, though the Priest of Arkay did end up dead quite a bit sooner than Mary had planned and she did join the Companions for whatever that is worth.

More on Bloody Mary to come.

Speaking of which, is there an actual naked Nord barbarian with his clothes and axe stolen in this game? No? I'm a bit disappointed now. Nay, very.

The closest i've come to this is a naked nord courier, i think it might have been a glitch.. i didn't ask where he concealed the letter

HAAA!!! Nice. I've tried this Restoration leveling before...too unpredictable. A lake is much better, if you want to take the gimmick route...though THAT'S not any fun, is it? ;) One of the earlier posters said to seek out the Vigilant of Stendarr, as they have a Restoration trainer there. That's my current plan.

Added to the Scoreboard.

#2 contradicts #8...you can never wear any clotges but you have a companion help you get clothes. This is dumb along with only using bare hands, impossible to slay dragons..it should be bare handed til you beat someone down and take their weapon/clothes

"Help you get clothes". This is a joke referring back to Morrowind, and the Naked Nord. Check my earlier reply to someone else's misunderstanding. An no, it's not impossible, just extremely difficult. Two (I believe) people posting on here have beating a dragon to death with their bare hands. If you don't wish to participate, don't complain about it...though you can still stick around and read the hilarious stories. :D

This is not a LITERALLY naked challenge. In Morrowind, the "Naked Nord" still had his underwear. :)

Challenge excepted. I will start after I grab the last 3 remaining Achievements. Three questions; is use of the Lord Stone allowed? Once you're allowed Alteration can you take the magic resistance perks? Finally once you get to use gauntlets what perks are you allowed to take in that skill?

All standing stones are allowed.

All perks are allowed. You can put points in Alteration before you unlock it, if you wish, though I wouldn't advise it.

I think I ll try this after school today =P After my french litterature exam which starts in about an hour. I'm assuming we don't HAVE to follow the MQ right? Oh and just to be sure, when we die, we can start beack in Riften? Instead of redoing that long beginning part again?

No, you may do whatever you want.

When you die, you may start back in RIVERWOOD, but yes.
