The Naked Nord Challenge.

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 7:28 pm

Name: Crixus The Brute
Level: 8
Companion: No
Difficulty: Master

Having killed my first dragon and climbed the moutain to speak to the greybeards i was on my way to recover the horn. Along the way i thought i would just pop into a cave i passed by, a few vampires that went down pretty easily. But among a small room i tumbled in lay a vampire. Little did i know that this vampire was a master vampire! So upon less than 5 seconds i lay dead upon the floor.

Great idea! I applaud you good sir!
I'll try this when I get the game, I'm pretty much doing it on Morrowind at the minute.

The main things i think i did that kept me alive was looting EVERYTHING and selling it (the house you get in riverwood is good because you can loot nearly everthing and sell it! Don't forget to pick up random junk like pots because every little bit helps!) and with the money i bought restoration training. So each level i had 5 more restoration therefore betting healing. Also pratically running backwards round in circles with one hand spamming healing and the other hand punching. But dont forget to use oil traps, swinging blade traps and every other trap you find in a dungeon to your advantage, They deal a great bit of damage!

EDIT: Oh and i forgot to mention i kept lots of apples and veggies to restore my health.

Calender, have you died yet? If not, congrats! Continue on!

Also, I'm updating the rules some, making it...ever so SLIGHTLY easier, by adding some bonuses as you level up. Check back in a few minutes.

I'm sorry for being confusing. That's as far as I made it. Sorry I didn't give a story behind it.

I am setting up to stream another "Naked Nord" challenge. Will be up in a couple of minutes.

Are you playing the same difficulty as yesterday, Calender?

Awesome idea. I imagine the gameplay being similar to a not so scary version of Amnesia (I would still run around screaming for my life though).

Yea. Normal. If I do master, I doubt it would be any fun watching.

I've been watching on and off a little. I'll watch more probably after my own Nord dies. XD

What level are you at now?

My guy svcks. I shouldn't have tried to take on a Justicar. I almost made it to level three. But these justicars jumped me and then a thief comes running and starts talking to me while they're attacking me. Which totally blows, because that left me vulnerable for several seconds while I tried to get out of speech mode. Ah, and then the guards at the town I ran to, I forgot its name started attacking me for no reason.

Here we go, round two.

Let me know when you want me to add you to the Adept board. You've been going through a bunch lately. LOL.

#8.You may recruit a companion/follower to help you "get your clothes back"... if you have the coin. (Extra "points" though, if you don't use a follower.)

I dont get this rule - the part about getting your clothes back. How can they help me do that even with lots of coin? :unsure2:

I will try this and try to get as far into the main storyline as possible. Are you allowed to use a mod to make unarmed attacks keyed off the One-Handed skill?

This is just a joke, referring to Morrowind, where Nerevarine would come along and help the poor Naked Nord get his clothes back. Barebones rule is: You may recruit a companion, but you will be ranked lower than a person who achieves the same level as you without one. :)
