Backstory:
A seductive witch paralyzed you and stole all of your clothes! You are now out on your own, naked, weaponless, in the wilderness. But hey...look on the bright side- At least you're frost resistant!

Rules:

#1. Play as a Nord.

#2. You can never wear ANY clothes. (You'd best choose your hairdo well.)

#3. Dead is DEAD. (Poor naked Nord.)

#4. The only tools you have at your disposal are your own two fists and Restoration magic. No conjuring, no armor, no swords, no nothing else.

#5. You may pick locks, sneak, sell and purchase food and potions, etc. However, do not prioritize these things, as when it comes to a level tie, the player with the higher Restoration skill will be ranked first.

#6. You are allowed to use Battlecry and any dragons shouts you (miraculously) learn.

#7. Master difficulty (OH, the HUMANITY!!!) is suggested, as it will be ranked the highest on the scoreboard, though you may play on an easier one if you wish.

#8.You may recruit a companion/follower to help you "get your clothes back"... if you have the coin. (Extra "points" though, if you don't use a follower.)

#8-1.Don't just think you can sit back happily and watch your companion die; no pain no gain as they say. (If you don't get hurt you can't level up your only skill: Restoration).

#9. You are allowed to munch on alchemy ingredients and food as you find them...but no mixing potions for yourself.

#10. If you are playing on Master difficulty, you are allowed certain bonuses as you reach certain levels. They are as follows:

Level 2 = "Ring Finger" - Ability to wear a ring.
Level 4 = "Septims for Potions" - Ability to pick pocket.
Level 6 = "Lucky Necklace" - Ability to wear an amulet.
Level 11 = "Body Scarring" - Ability to cast Oakflesh (and its superiors) and Equilibrium.
Level 14 = "Cold Feet" - Ability to wear boots. (heavy or light)
Level 17 = "Bloody Knuckles" - Ability to wear gauntlets.
Level 25 = "Found my Axe!" - Ability to wield a single war axe.

#11. You are allowed to become a werewolf, but not a vampire.

#12. See what level you can get up to!

#13. When posting your Naked Nord's valiant death, be sure to stay true to the format already on the scoreboard, and include all the info. (Make sure you give him/her a name!)

#14. If you have any suggestions to improve upon this idea before people start, speak. I'm open.

Tips:

#1. The beginning is the hardest. Make sure you get plenty of potions as you go through Helgen.

#2. Make sure you activate the Mage stone!

#3. This is ridiculously hard until you get the first restoration perk...hang in there!

#4. Just because you can't wear armor doesn't mean you can't carry it...and trade for some potions, food, a night's rest, etc.

#5. You're going to die a lot in the beginning before you get a hang of the fighting style, so choose a save point after you get into Riverwood to be your DiD "respawn", if you will. Otherwise, it just gets WAY too obnoxious.

#6. Make clever use of the "wait" function frequently, you'll need it.

#7. Always get a good night's rest before you adventure out, that 10% is a HUGE help!

#8. Seek out a Restoration Trainer as soon as possible.

#9. No matter how powerful your healing spells are, NPC finishing moves are still your greatest peril, and as such, be VERY CAREFUL to keep your health up when facing a Battleaxe/GreatSword/etc. wielding NPC.

Scoreboard

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Master Difficulty

:trophy: Platinum :trophy:
Name: Crixus the Brute
GamerTag: CantWaitTill111111
Level: 8
The Naked Death: Having killed his first dragon and climbed the mountain to speak to the greybeards, Crixus the Brute was on his way to recover the horn of Jurgen Windcaller. "Along the way I thought I would just pop into a cave I passed by; defeated a few vampires that went down pretty easily." But within a small room Crixus tumbled into lay a vampire. Little did he know... that this vampire was a master vampire! So upon less than 5 seconds he lay dead upon the floor.

:trophy: Gold :trophy:
Name: Bernard the Bare
Gamertag: Morttifera
Level: 8
The Naked Death: After defeated scores of bandits in Embershard Mine and Pine Grove, Bernard the Bare headed off to Bleak Falls Barrow to try out his new Turn Lesser Undead spell. Everything went well at first, scaring them into a corner and then beating them to death...however Bernard was overpowered by a group of four Draugr soon after...dying with an Ancient Nord Battleaxe to his face. Bernard is no longer "Bare", but clothed in hardened blood.

:trophy: Silver :trophy:
Name: Death-Meat
Gamertag: Montychuck
Level: 5
The Naked Death: Feeling cocky after having survived Bleak Falls Barrow and returning the Golden Claw to it's rightful owners, Death-Meat returns to claim the Dragonstone. Fist clenched and healing spell in hand, he once again enters the crypt. Avoiding the few Draugr who survived his recent rampage, he makes his way to the word wall, and a climactic battle ensues! Fist against steel, Dragon Shout against restoration magic, the Draugr Overlord does not surrender to fatigue or the lightning quick blows Death-Meat continues to inflict upon him. The fight goes on for hours. However, it is Death-Meat who breaks this stalemate by, in his overconfidence, getting too close to his adversary, who quickly runs his ancient Nord blade through Death-Meat's naked body, thus ending his journey.

:trophy: Bronze :trophy:
Name: Erik the Stiff
Gamertag: AcidDark
Level: 5
The Naked Death: After slaying the wounded frostbite spider in Bleak Falls Barrow, Erik the Stiff sent a few draugr to their death, but there was one he feared. This draugr, with his greatsword, was taunted around in a circular motion, whilst punched repeatedly to the face, but alas this one draugr had grown tired, and ended Erik's life swiftly.

:violin: Honorable Mentions :violin:
Spoiler
Name: Fist, Son of Fist
Gamertag: Yadayada
Level: 5
The Naked Death: Fist thought he was pretty clever sneaking around instead of fighting. He snuck his way out of Helgen, carefully making his way to Bleak Falls Barrows. Once there, he skillfully avoided the traps, the sleeping guardians, and even a giant spider. But then he took an arrow to the knee fell face first onto a Restless Draugr's battleaxe. Poor Fist.

Name: Shirtless the 1st
Gamertag: Morttifera
Level: 4
The Naked Death: After clearing out Embershard Mine and killing the bandits at the beginning of Bleak Falls Barrow, Shirtless decided to turn his hardened nipbles towards Whiterun. After selling his junk and buying the Fast Healing spell from the Jarl's court wizard, Shirtless felt more than invincible. He decided at this point to head towards Dawnstar to find the elusive House of the Vigilant for training in Restoration. Along the way he was distracted by a Nordic ruin, where Shirtless easily defeated SIX bow wielding bandits. Confident in his latest victory and his new Fast Healing spell, Shirtless ventured into the ruin, only to be met by an Orc Bandit swinging his great battle axe...landing a finishing move square in Shirtless' naked chest.

Name: Ferdinand The Forgetful
Gamertag: SoKoLoV
Level: 3
The Naked Death: Ferdinand had already achieved a point in Restoration and Speech...and got a little to excited about it. When having brawled against Uthgerd and Mikael without dying, Ferdinand forgot he wasn't invincible. He was doing some random quests in Whiterun and had just delivered a sword to the assistant of Jarl Balgruuf and talked to the Jarl and his court mage about the dragons. He took the exit from Dragonsreach and noticed the rocks just outside. He jumped on them, and planned a large jump so he could lose some health, then use Restoration and level more quickly. The first few jumps meant almost no loss of health. So, he walked up the stairs, jumped around the large beam and put himself on the outer wall just above the rocks. He looked down and jumped right into the pool- and died from the jump. "Maybe I hit a rock or maybe the jump was too big- but, well, that's how my naked Nord died and I will remember him."

Name: Nels the Naughty
Gamertag: AcidDark
Level: 3
The Naked Death: While running by necessity away from draugr, rudely awakened from their sleep, Nels was kindly introduced to a sharp swinging trap to his face. The rude awaking may have been avoided, but Nels decided he could take anything after punching a giant spider to death, despite the challenge of it, which lead to his demise. Bleak Falls Barrow proved to be too bleak for Nels to handle.

Name: Lady Fisten
Gamertag: Zeheve
Level: 2
The Naked Death: Here lies Lady Fisten. She killed a wolf and dreamed big. A wolf wasn't so tough, surely a dragon wouldn't be much harder. Sadly, she bravely took on two bandits at once and was butchered by a large man with a large axe.

Name: Big Harry
Gamertag: Cobalte
Level: 1
The Naked Death: Big Harry set out from Whiterun into the tundra. He arrived at a spring and killed two mudcrabs with his bare hands, then tore off their chitin and headed for a dragon lair. "You may be surprised, but the dragon bested me; the weakling wouldn't even face me in open combat. I'm not fire resistant."

Name: Brave Brave Sir Robin
Gamertag: Z999z3mystorys
Level: 1
The Naked Death: While on his way to defeat some rogue mages for the Companions, Sir Robin was attacked by a wolf. He slew it mightily with his bare hands- but alas, a mudcrab snuck up on him, ending his days.

I like Dead is Dead, but i think this idea is kind of weird, to each their own.

Yes, of course it's weird! It's also a throwback to Morrowind, so you'd have to have played it to get the joke. Though, this is quite an insanely hard challenge, at least worth a try.

The naked nord should hold a deep hatred for witches and ALWAYS attack them on sight. No. matter. what.

Ahh...good idea. Perhaps I should add that as an optional rule...

Speaking of which, is there an actual naked Nord barbarian with his clothes and axe stolen in this game? No? I'm a bit disappointed now. Nay, very.

I thought that would become a "thing" after traipsing onto that little nagger in Mournhold. He had an awful amount of cheek for a naked Nord in close proximity to an inanimate cacti-like object.
Humph.

Not to my knowledge. It IS disappointing. Just think! A character with such a great destiny! To BE the NAKED NORD!

Speaking of naked Nords, there's a whole nudist colony of them in the volcanic tundra.

Absolutely. Let me modify the rules. Score table will work like this: Based on difficulty first if past level 2, then on your level.

My current character is not exactly naked, but he's close. He's a 2-handed character wearing light armor. He does not use magic (or shouts). I'm finding that to be a nice challenge.

When I finish this character I might give this a try. But I'm not playing dead-is-dead. That's going too far. ;)

I can haz pants?

I wonder, do I really need to be naked, or just no armor/weapons or clothing with any enchants? wearing unenchanted clothing won't effect the difficulty and people won't constantly complain that I need to put on clothes.

also, why the limit on saves? what if we need to stop for the night, or a CTD? death isn't the only reason one needs a saved game.

SIGH. I guess you don't HAVE to be NAKED. It will be the same challenge. Though...arrg. Yes, it's fine.

Ah...yeah. Let me change that. Good point.

Indeed. "Courage worked on the Morttifera". You can try it, if you wish, but you shall get no scoring post here!

Now, no hypocrisy, Zeheve... go get NAKED! LOL.

Is lycanthropy allowed if you get far enough in the companion's guild questline?

Yes, do not be lenient on these frip-frappers. Naked they were and naked they will be.
It wasn't some bloody half-clothed skimp of a cross-dresser. No, he was stripped to his skivvies and robbed of his axe. And so it shall remain.
Harumph.

Hmmm...when you can get that far...we'll talk about it. That certainly is a good plan, though it may make it too easy. Attempt to do this, then we'll see what happens, ok?

Being a werewolf actually isn't so easy. I've played as one for a while and come to the conclusion that you're considerably worse than you're character typically is with weapons and armor and all. And of course if you run out of corpses you're gonna be stuck at the bottom of a dungeon in nothing but a loin cloth.

Sounds good then! Try it! Let me know how far you get. Can't wait to start adding to the Scoreboard.
