The Nellis Convention Part Two

Sammy Rallo, Chairmen Rep.

*Sammy had already finished off much of the Vodka.*

"Yesh, that deal sheemsh fair... Excushe me, I think I need a lie down."

*It could be seen that Sammy had gone through several glasses of champagne as well as an overdose of Vodka. Subsequently, he had passed out on the sofa.*

OOC: A fitting point for me to end. I'll be back in about 16 hours.

"Excellent, in exchange we would like you to impart your knowledge of building solar panels as well as providing us with some heavier ordinance than the dynamite we previously arranged for."

OOC: So just to make it clear here is who the Khan's have made trade agreements with

The Boomers
Followers and Kings
Primm
The Chairmen
Possibly Goodsprings
Solar Panels and heavy ordnance for the little alcohol you have sent us? That is outrageous! We agree on sending grenade launchers for the medical supplies and a FEW solar panels for the alcohol, your going to have to do better to learn how to make it yourself.

The Courier-New Vegas

I know that you have Frumentariis inside Vegas.

*Addresses the entire group*

The Legion's morals are the opposite of those we live in. We don't stand for slavery, using women as breeding stock, nor putting every settlement in our eyes to the sword. The Legion does not have a place in Vegas, or near Vegas, in fact, I don't want to see them gain another foothold within a hundred miles of Vegas. (I consider Cottonwood cove a little over 100 miles). No group in the Mojave in their right mind would help you gain a foothold in the Mojave.

*Points at the Frumentarii*.

I know you're asking why, so I will tell you. Regardless of how much more reasonable you are than the oaf that was sent in before yourself, the Legion will never stop needing to conquer. Let's say we integrated you into our society. This is assuming that you are able to drop your slavery and sixism values. You would possibly stay peaceful a few months, but the Legion's taste for blood is never sated, and once they are strong enough, they will need to conquer. They'll push past Vegas, inflicting civilian and soldier casualties, and then they will enslave who they see fit, and they will move onto the NCR, and the last eight years will have been for nothing.

The absolute most I can do for you, Frumentarii, is strike a few business deals to keep your nation from collapsing for the time being, but that is the furthest extent, and I will not authorize the Legion's occupation of the Mojave in any way, shape, or form.

With that being said, your citizens are allowed, but your military presence must stay back in Arizona and New Mexico, where it belongs.
*Kruser's is agitated, then his face goes blank for a second... but then he eventually laughs.

"You know Courier, you will soon come to regret the day you stabbed the world in the back".

"Our buisness here is concluded, those Frumentarii shall be punished severely. The Legion will continue to keep an eye on things. The bull shall rise from the ashes stronger than before".

*Kruser throws his Boomer grenade launcher at Connor without looking at him. Just like that, the legion is gone.

Jus remember Legion, if you attack our friends again, we will bomb your positions and cities back to the stone ages, not that they already weren't there that is.

The other ambassadors might not be able to see it.

Letting you roam around VEGAS. IN DISGUISE, is asking for anyone who stands up to the Bull, or anyone you see unfit to live by, to die.

I'm a more ethical person than Caesar, frumentarii. I'm not going to wipe Arizona clean. The tribes who live there, need the Legion. You and your regime have cost them their identities and lives, and their fates are tied up into yours.

But I am not allowing you to devour any more lands. I don't want more people to need the Legion. Not anymore. The Secutrion and United Mojave Army will see to that.

With that being said, perhaps Crimson Caravan can be persuaded to send some food and supplies in bulk to the border of your lands monthly.

And your presence at this convention isn't for nothing, there is still much to be discussed.

"Then we can do without your solar panels. Your grenade launchers we accept with open arms, and wish to perhaps sweeten the deal by promising you minerals from our great Empire. Minerals and Gems which cannot be found anywhere else, minerals and Gems which can prove to be quite a hot commodity once they catch the eye of a wealthy Vegas elite. Gems like these."

*He pulls out a small pouch and opens it up. Inside are a few small but still beautiful pink sapphires. Pouring the gems into his hand he shows them to the Captain*

We greatly appreciate the offer but we have no need for jewels. We are almost completely self-sufficient, and only admittedly isolationist, jewels would be useless. Your minerals we also refuse, we again have no need for them.

*Mr. Kent steps back into the room, not really sure what is going on

"Sorry to interrupt everyone, but i just came back from speaking to the folks back in WestSide on radio and they have told me that first of all we would like to make a deal with the Followers of the Apocalypse, as we have the resources to expand the Co-Op, but not the knowledge, we would be happen to give some food once things get up and running if the followers help us. Also we would like to work out a trade deal to anyone who is interested, since we need guns and armor to arm our expanding milita.

The Courier-New Vegas

Yes Man has brought something to my attention.

Perhaps, we could build a wall outside of the entirety of New Vegas, creating unity for the three districts of it, but creating a facility for cleaning up the locals and checking them for disease before we integrate them.

In this case, we would create more jobs for the poor populace of New Vegas.

I have not ignored your claim to renovate South Vegas Ruins. We need them to be occupied, it will be a good location as it is close to the position that we are planning for the Follower's hospital to be (Vault 19).

Vault 3 is unoccupied, so perhaps I could use it as a stash for securitrons, and make Vegas' security more widespread.

"The answer's nobody Sammy. No King is gonna step foot anywhere near any Omertà place, and I doubt any Followers are gonna wanna be associated with a bunch of gun toting, drug peddling mobsters. While we don't speak for everyone, we do speak for the majority. My guess? The Omerta's "expansion" is going to amount to nothing more than a neon crackhouse in the ass end of Freeside."

Omerta Don- Andrew Matthews

*Matthews takes his cigar out of his mouth and smashes it into an ashtray*

Oh I assure you it will be more than that. I've got one of the hottest casino's on the strip, and I know how to run a particular type of business which keeps customers coming back. In no time, we'll have a profitable little place. I dare say it'll brighten up the rat-hole that is Freeside.

*Matthews smirks*

"You got stones, Don, but the Kings have got a hell of a lot of support in Freeside. Think about it, who do you expect to go to an Omerta business in Freeside over, I dunno, the Wrangler?

The Wrangler? That shoddy run-down place? The Garrets run a side-show.

Why do people come to the Gomorrah and not to the Wrangler? Because we don't serve our patrons cheap beer, stale food, and diseased women.

All this talk of Freeside is unpleasant. Why don't we look to the strip, eh?

Surprisingly, it has hardly received any discussion. I agree as well.

However, the White Glove ambassador I invited seems to have either lost his way or has declined the invitation, while the Chairmen ambassador *points* is drunk out of his mind, and a hangover like that will not allow him to be very diplomatic for hours.

Bad form.

In any case them not attending the Convention allows me to speak freely about them, I feel we need to discuss a break on the White-Gloves hold on the food supply. They seem to have it monopolized, and their a shady bunch at that. I don't like them. My boys aren't exactly saints, but we don't go around wearing creepy masks.

*Matthews takes a sip of his drink*

After that perhaps we can discuss any thoughts for expanding businesses on the strip. There's quite a bit of room for expansion.

Yes, a couple of days ago, we sent some boys out to look for fiends in South Vegas, and they saw some mighty interesting factories down there, if we could get those up and running then New Vegas could actually have some exports, perhaps, as it is not in my authority to do so, you could sign some trade deals with
some of the major companies and nations here, since it would be good to know that your investments would be worth it in the long run.

OOC: I've gotta head out for a while and get some homework done

Alice watched the Legion representative storm out of the room.

She looked at the Courier. "Somehow I have known that it was a vain hope to make peace with every faction in the Mojave. The Legion will always be a militant group, who will never see eye to eye with anyone else. However, I had to try and reach out. I guess that's the fault or maybe a blessing of the Followers, we never rule anyone out, not from the start at least. I do agree with your sentiments though. It's for the best if the Legion withdraws and stays out of Vegas all together," she said and shrugged.

"Now as for the hospital, I thought more along the lines of turning Camp Golf into a Hospital, if we are talking about a place that's rather removed from the Strip. I think a Seaside resort would also help our patients to recuperate at a faster rate. Plus, it's already fortified and if necessary, guards can occupy the tents. Although, I don't fear much will happen around that area. Well, at least its a suggestion. It might be easier to get that place ready than to clean up a dark, dank Vault," she added and looked hopeful at the Courier.

Also we would like to work out a trade deal to anyone who is interested, since we need guns and armor to arm our expanding milita.

Then she turned to Mr. Kent. "It would be our pleasure to work with you on increasing the yield of your plants. Good, fresh food is in short supply and the more we can help each other, the more people will benefit. We will work out the details once the meeting is over. I'm looking forward to a co-op between the Followers and Westside, Mr. Kent." Alice said and smiled at Kent.

OOC: night all, be back tomorrow
