Alice sat up and raised her right eyebrow.

"You have some nerve to come in here and make demands," she shook her head, but couldn't help herself and burst out laughing, when she saw the smug expression on Sammy's face. Oh yea, she knew the Chairmen, the "cool cats" of the Strip. They were harmless though and pretty easy to get along with. It just bugged her that one or the other would just call her "Babe", when she walked into the Tops. Not that she spent much time there.

"So, you want to expand into Freeside? Are the Chairmen willing to help with the re-building effort?" She wanted to know.

*Sammy turned to face Ms. Swift, whom he had barely registered before.*

"Help Freeside, sweetcheeks? We've got the money, sure, but why should we pay for your diggs? I'd have thought that the figurative 10% of any profits coming from our possible Freeside establishments would help out, but, for a pretty face like yours... I could make that 11%. Better than the Omertas, for damn sure."

*Kruser looks at Sammy Rello and is unimpressed. He thought he looked like a man that never did any dirty work in his life. He knew his type.

Good... I may highly dislike the Legion and consider them enemies, but atleast I don't have to worry about being gutted while at a DIPLOMATIC session.



It was brought to my attention by Yes Man that you are overburdened by patients. I can give you all of House's longevity research he left behind, as a start, and also, I was wondering if you could provide aid to the United Mojave Army. If you gave us aid, you would get recognition and supplies in return, which are seemingly quite valuable to your cause.


Having nightkin in the United Mojave Army would be very valuable to our cause, as well as Black Mountain would be recognized as a state. What do you say?



I am offering you a recognized state in the United Mojave States, and all you need to give me in return, is the ability to watch what is going on in your NCRCF renovations and work.

Forgive me, Enclave, it just seemed, that for the time, it looked like you were actually supporting the Legion's ideals.

The NCR has been contained by "The Legion". *Smirks*, but I don't want open war on them. They are very valuable to the Mojave, and I would hate to lose that much business.

*Adresses the entire convention*

Although the Legion has picked a new representative, the Legion's motives remain the same, and they aren't much different than the madman you have just dealt with.

With that being said, I'm ready to do some diplomacy with the Legion, as long as he doesn't attempt to gut me. *Points at the frumentarii*

OOC: Out for a few hours.

"My influence reaches as far as I demand it," Sutler said simply. "I've walked alone from the San Francisco Bay to Washington D.C. in service of my country, fought the NCR fifteen-to-one and at the age of 59 I still rank amongst the top sharp-shooters of America; it's why I've carried this same Gauss Pistol for fourty years. And as for the men and women of the United States, they would march where-ever I ordered them too, confident in their abilities and proud to serve their nation; in death knowing that they die patriots and servants of humankind. I love my men, I love everyone in my country and would gladly give my own life to make their's better, to ensure that they never have to go through a life like mine; America victorious isn't just a dream passed from generation-to-generation. You can say that, therefore, that my influence is infinite in the persuit of my goals."

Alice smiled at the Courier and let out a small sigh of relief. "Yes, oh yes, the Mormon Fort can't possible hold all the patients we've received since the Battle of Hoover Dam. That's one of the reasons, why I was late. We are short on supplies, short on personnel and short on space. This is a perfect example that we need more space and updated equipment to treat the wounded better. I would like to establish a hospital in the Mojave, preferably with rooms and not just a "tent city". If we could have the help in rebuilding Freeside, we might be able to move into one of the buildings there. Think about it, this type of facility would help everyone. We would be very grateful for the research you offer and we would make sure to put it to good use," she said. "Of course your Army will have our support, Courier," she added without a moments hesitation.


She turned to Sammy. "Sammy Darlin'," she said with her sweetest smiles, "you may have noticed that Freeside is mainly a pile of rubble, where would you establish your diggs?" She asked and rolled her eyes.


After her speech, Alice stole a few looks at Krusor, considering his previous offer. Then she leaned forward and waved Krusor towards her.

"Listen, I came here with an open mind and I can see that you are willing to help. We, the Followers, have a saying: Don't waste a chance of turning an enemy into an ally. So, here is what I propose. You can sent some Legionnairies to help with the re-building effort and we will share valuable medicinal information with you," before Krusor could protest, she hurriedly added, "Of course the remedies will consist of only natural ingredients. I know how the Legion detests chems and so do we, well chems beside Stimpaks that is." She tilted her head and waited for his reply.

*Krusor is astounded that Mrs Swift had re-considered and was struggling to come up with words

"O - o - ofcourse Mrs Swift, i shall send Legionaries over as soon as you guarantee there safety, bear in mind that not everyone shall tolerate our presence".

"I would be willing to send a squad of armed Nightkin to Arizona. They will take orders from one Centurion that you choose to be fit for them and they will do whatever is needed of them, within reason of course. They won't be slaves. I assume that the Legion, like any war-like nation, keeps their spoils. As payment we would require 25 Stealth Boys."
"We accept your offer of becoming a state inside the United Mojave and when called we will provide all of our forces if they are needed."
"I would be willing to send a few Nightkin to help with Freeside's rebuilding effort and a few more to do with as you please. For this we will require medical supplies, Rad-X and Radway will naturally not be needed."
"We will start clearing our section of the Long 15 to make it as caravan-friendly as possible. I will also be able to send a squad of Nightkin to assist with the matter of the prison. All we require for this is caps and materials to setup our own trading post in front of Black Mountain."

OCC: Hey Gingy, what happened to Quarry Junction?

"Of course not everyone will welcome you with open arms. We will have to do a bit of convincing. However, most of the Freeside representatives, or those with stakes in that area are here at this meeting. I trust that you all will inform your factions that the Legions is helping with the rebuilding of Freeside upon the Followers request and that they are not to be harmed?" Alice looked around the assembled members, her eyes rested for a moment on President Sutler of the Enclave, unsure of what to make of him, yet.


She turned to Lobo and nodded. "I thank you for your gracious offer. We will stand ready with various medical supplies, plus we can also teach you different recipes on how to make your own medicine," she said with a smile.



Alice raised in her chair and put her hands on the table. "You would profit off criminals?" she asked in disbelieve. "Sure, these prisoners forfeit their right to be productive members of society, but it seems wrong to use them for material gain!"


"Has everyone gone mad? We are not here to talk about people, criminal or not, like pvssyl! We are here to find out how we can best help mankind to regain a sense of normality in this desolate land! Corruption, greed and the failure to negotiate the proper distribution of resources is what started the Great War 200 years ago. We need to learn from our history and work together for once." Alice sat back down with a huff.

"Diggs as in The Tops, dollface," Sammy replies to Ms. Swift, "besides, I'm sure some of the locals wouldn't mind fixing up a building or two, if paid sufficiently."

"I'm still waiting for a response from the Crimson Caravan and Gun Runners, you guys come to a decision yet?"

"I would hope that the prospect of Slavery would discourage any crime which would result in that fate. It will also ensure more space for criminals who have a hope of rehabilitation. I am not some heartless slaver hoping to sell any people I lay eyes upon for some quick cash"

*Sutler shoke his head in silent bemusemant.

"Justify the selling of slaves in what-ever way makes it easier on your consience, the Legion sometimes use them as meat in gladiatorial combat anyway; at-least with I they'll serve a productive purpose. But the choice is yours."


"They're criminals, well to me their just mainlanders but that's entirely beside the point; best that they are utilised for a useful cause."

OOC: In-case you were wondering I did respond to R.J. on the previous page, just above your own post . I remembered you said Alice was waiting to hear his response.

Shortly after General Oliver returned back to the NCR, congress was called in NCR capital, firstly to discuss what happened in Mojave and secondary what to do next. Details of this meeting were not revealed but within it a new president (John Wilson) was elected and a new goal, the NCR would instead rebuild its strength and start alliances with other factions, minus the legion.

Starting with this peace was made with the western BOS and was unofficially merged into the Army, project was set up to find alternative energy sources and a tunnel to the Mojave (to avoid radiation) was planned.

After hearing about the Nellis Convention ambassador James Carbone, a former NCR Captain was sent via Vertibird to attend along with ranger Andy as a bodyguard.

“And I agree with you about selling prisoners to these…. Dogs….As well as it being slaverly, they will Give them weapons and turn them into soldiers, soldiers you could be facing if the legion decides to break whatever deal you have going on.

"Thank you for the advice, but forgive me if I ignore it, we are still dealing with the repercussions of the previous prisoners in the NCR's care"

*Sutler's radio suddenly sparked to life, prompting Sutler to bring the receiver to his ear; his face flushed red and he jumped to his feet, sprinting past the enterage that was just entering to the window.

"VEM-105 2136, 2136... 2136... that was Lieutenant Kellerman's Vertibird, now in NCR shackles... it pleases me greatly that you've arrived NCR; we have much to discuss, especially if your mission is saving lives."

Alice calmed down and had to acknowledge that Mayor Henderson actually made sense. "I guess you are right, Mayor. If you ever need a trained medic around the prison, I can sent someone over to work with one of your prisoners, train them in the use of Stimpaks, creating healing powder, administering injections and so forth. I think it wouldn't hurt to have your own infirmary," she said.


Sutler seemed very sure of himself. Alice narrowed her eyes and wondering if he thought the Enclave was as influential here as they had been in the past in the West.

"Interesting proposal, Mr Sutler. However, if I remember correctly, Vault Tec used human "specimen" for all sorts of testing purposes, and we all know how that turned out. I wouldn't even subject a criminal to Enclave methods." She shook her head and frowned.

OOC: Oh yea, I did read your reply.


"James... I mean Captain Carbone it's good to see you finally made it," Alice stood up and walked over to shake James' hand. "I really appreciate that you came through with the supplies, we can really use them," she added with a smile and then blushed, as his words sank in. Why would she agree with anyone that Slave trading was ok? Carbone, who she knew from past encounters, was of course right. The Legion could not be trusted.

25 stealth boys? We will probably have to do some scouting in Dry Wells to obtain more, but for a squad of armed Nightkin? You have a deal mutant.
