The Nellis Convention

*sits back with a cup of tea and sips*

I think the Remnants are just going to see how this all progresses. We'll largely take our cues from the Enclave proper.

Although the offer of amnesty with the NCR is a welcome gesture, we aren't going to become effectively monitored prisoners of yours.

Currently the Remnants are looking for an area in which to construct a small settlement, for the purposes of leaving in peace for a change.

(Also should the MWBOS be represented by someone? They are going to have dealings with both Caesar's Legion and the Enclave after all.)

I'm representing them.

And styles: I'll get t-45 suits to mcCarran right away after were done here. Also do you need any help at any of the ranger stations.

High elder: I think we can manage. What ideas do you have in mind?

And speaking on behalf of fiends going into freeside: I know I have no right to speak on this situation but I think If everyone is trying to make freeside a better place, then moving fiends In there is counter-productive.

Brotherhood would be a great help in many fields. They can help with many scientific endeavors. They can bolster defences at Hoover Dam and the Ranger Stations. A great help would be in dealing with powder gangers and fiends. Combined Ranger and Brotherhood forces should deal with fiends and powder gangers in a short time.

I think people are getting confused who is who. So we should probably post the faction we are representing at the top of our post.

And I'm representing the MW Brotherhood of Steel.

Enclave: There are a hundreds of us left. God only knows how many of enclave remnants are out there. But I think we should both be in this because there both in game factions. And if your planning to get more remnants together. How are you propose your going to that? Or are you gonna just keep your 5 or 6 old timers?

Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel are a huge known.. All info on them is almost 90 years out of date.

Edit: there is a rumor going around that they have fallen on hard times :sadvaultboy:

We are willing to help anybody in the advancement of science and technology. How do you propose we can help the powder gangers and fiends?

The MWBOS isn't really related to the original Brotherhood by anything more than a common origin. Indeed the Western Elders sent them east in order to get rid of them.

They're a faction that has separate goals and separate ideological takes on matters. Especially if Barnaky is leading them at this point.

You can help by hunting them down.. arresting those that agree to turn themselves in and killing those that don't.

I can see a role for the Original Brotherhood in the NCR. They form the new armoured division of the NCR. They become for lack of better words, the new Tanks of the NCR. They were once military people, they can be again.

I had a feeling thats what you were talking about :foodndrink:

Only problem in is they have the same initials as the Midwestern Brotherhood. "Mojave Wasteland" might be better to call them "Mojave Chapter."

If what you're saying, Styles, is not a dastardly lie, it may be worth considering, however for now we are trying to work on more local matters with the remnants and Freeside (respond to my propositions, guys).

I'll reiterate, we need an experienced, strong handyman. A member of the Enclave, BoS, or other out of the way, but well trained, group would be ideal.

I've always used "MWBOS" to refer to the "Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel," while "MBOS" refers to the Mojave Chapter.

So I suppose there's been some miscommunication, yes Daniel is definitely representing the Mojave Brotherhood of steel, but I was wondering if someone should represent the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel (seeing as how we have the Enclave involved here).

I move to remove the Enclave from these talks.. Enclave remnants and children of Enclave should be represented (anyone that had association with them and is now being persecuted/hunted by NCR/BoS) but not the Enclave as they were before they were wiped out in the West.

And no Midwestern Brotherhood (as much as I love them).. We just don't know enough about them, all info is long out of date.

This Ambassador Stonewall Of The Boomers.

I think one thing that we should clarify is: Did the lone wanderer use the FEV given to him/her by Eden? And did he/she then destroy Adams Air Force Base?

Now, Ambassador Pistelero Of The Enclave has made it abundantly clear that if I trade with Ambassador Apex Predator Of Freeside, my contract with the Enclave is null and void. What can you offer that is more important than medical supplies?

To Ambassador Lt. Andronicus Of The Enclave Remnants, we are wiling to give you refuge (assuming you are all still untainted by radiation) here at Nellis. There is enough room, and I believe that your power armour, and knowledge of technology will be invaluable to us Boomers. You would be well protected from those who are out to kill/capture you (Ambassador Styles Of The NCR). If you wish to come ta some agreement, please contact me here.

Dear Ambassador Ouchobrain Of The Strip, what do you require in your 'handyman'? We may be able to help.

Ambassador Styles, you got us all here together, and now you wish to remove some of them? I disagree with this movement.

"Order, order! Do you kids wanna be like the real U.N., or do you just wanna squabble and waste time?"

I didn't bring everyone here.. Rooster Smith did. The events of Fallout 3 are irrelevant. This is about the Mojave and besideds thanks to Broken Steel the Enclave's plan never worked so even if they did use it, it had no effect.

The Enclave have no communication with the West. They are dead in the west and all but dead in the east. They have no effect on how things play out in the Mojave.

Enclave renmants do but not the Enclave as they were in Fallout 2 or Fallout 3 do not.

If we include them we might as well include Lyons BoS, the Commonwealth, Midwestern Brotherhood, the Outcast and many other Factions. Even ones we don't know are real like the Mutant Liberation Army. Things should just cover the Mojave and the west, after all this is "The Nellis Convention" is it not?

Ambassador Ouchobrain, I think you and I may have a deal. House provides Freeside with caps to buy weapons, ammo, and supplies to help begin renovating and you get a safer passage way into the strip, as well as the benifit of having a growning economy right outside your door. Exactly what we're looking for.

Now Mr. Rooster, as much as I hate to back out of our negotiations to move some of the fiends into Freeside, I think I may have another idea. We'll still need extra man power to help with the rebuiding effort, and you still need need someone to help with your education plan. So what I suggest we do is you all send us some extra hands to help us out and after we get a school built, which will be one of our top priorities, you get free education for your children as long as you continue to help us with construction. Its a win/win situation for both sides.

Lt. Andronicus: Remnants of the Enclave

Sounds like an agreeable arrangement to me. Provided that the Remnants are allowed to maintain a degree of autonomy within Nellis. We refuse to be ordered around by any one of the Boomer's "Elders" but we'd be more than willing to cooperate in securing Nellis and offering the joint use of any technology currently available to us.

Very well then, the Remnants accept the offer of the Boomer's representative.

NCR Ambassador

To all factions but the Legion:

The NCR is you're protection. We are all that stands between you and the Legion. It is true that we are having some trouble getting supplies to our frontier regions due to criminal activity and a disaster that tragically killed thousands of NCR soldiers and citizens.

We will in time, reestablish faster links to the Mojave. The Mojave will become part of NCR. We already control Hoover Dam and Helios One.

You have a couple options.

1) Take the NCR's generous terms and help defend against the Legion.

2) Fight us and make both sides weaker, and vulnerable to Legion Conquest.

If you decide to go with option 2; note that the Legion will destroy you and NCR will come back with even greater military force, to retake the Mojave. So all effort in fighting us would have been for not.

Just saying :whistling:

Ouchobrain for Mr. House

Apex, as long as you don't let any active raiders into Freeside we have a deal, I don't mind rehabilitated fiends if they are calm, but no psychos or the deal is off. Agreed? :D

Stonewall, we are looking for a small group of well-trained personell to complete tasks for the benefit of Mr.House and the strip, including recovering the platinum chip. Those who work for us shall be rewarded handsomely, I'm aware that Boomers have little direct need for caps, however we could buy ammunition, which you are running out of, and trade it to you for your services. You and your Enclave remnants friends could be ideal for this.

Brotherhood Ambassador Daniels

To all ambassadors: Does anyone know who is rep the legion. We have score to settle.

To legion: I request you stop hunting the BoS. We got attacked on the way over here by a raid group. This is not human, we shouldn't be fighting each other. We have deathclaws and other things out there! Make love not war! Dig? You are just losing men that you cannot spare! I am willing to pay 500 caps to liberate the 3 paladins you have enslaved. What you do to them is cruel and unhuman.

Jacobstown: We are willing to give you a lot of money to renovate the lodge to possibly to get it a running hotel and share the profits 50/50. Great for both of us.

Fiends: We desperately need steel and metal for more power armor suits, and the only steel building in Vegas in your territory, we wish to have your fiends back off and let us run the steel building in exchange for all the chems we have.

Ambassador Stonewall; Boomers

I believe that we have a deal Lt. Andonicus. And as Ouchobrain said, we may be able to strike a deal with Mr. House. As a new member of Nellis, this obviously affects you, what do you think?

And as you may know, it was Ambassador Crocker who brought us here. Hence NCR.

And to Ambassador Daniels, the Legion representative has not made it to Nellis yet, and if someone wishes to take that responsibility, please do. Same with the Powder Gangers.

To the Boomers: What's your opinion of mutants?

To the Fiends: We agree to supply you with some of our extra chems so long as you do us a favor: if you happen to run into any Super Mutants or Ghouls, send them to us.

Ambassador Andronicus: Enclave Remnants

The Remnants, as an independent entity refuse to work for Mr. House. We have nothing against him and indeed wish him well, but we have no desire to be personally involved in any of his plans or to become his lackey's. Our desire to to defend our homes and live out our days in peace for the moment.

Obviously I cannot speak for the Boomer's themselves, but I would advise against the Boomer's becoming too far entangled in affairs outside of Nellis, aside from trading for necessities such as ordinance.
