The New Daedra look

Post » Tue May 11, 2010 12:09 am

even if they are, dont expect nudity... or much skimpiness at all, bethesda doesnt seem to go for that stuff anymore.

What do you mean that Bethesda doesn't do that anymore?
I don't know how they would do a dark 'seducer' or golden saint without some skimpiness, since it's already been
established in at least Morrowind (golden saints) and Oblivion for them both.
And I would love to see some Winged Twilights if there's any following of Azura in Skyrim.

Mods can take care of that. I just want them to be in the game.

I really hope they make scamps look more like in Morrowind. Oblivion scamps were just awkward. Scamps need to be made properly!

Screw dumb daedra, they don't die, I want the happiness of killing someone, not just kill them and kill their friend that looks 100% the same as they do, and then kill him again. I wanna see the new mudcrab look.

Hell yes! I thought the fire atronach looked pretty 'meh' in Oblivion, along with the scamps. Hopefully they have been beefed up to look like they posses a challenge.

I'd like to see the new look of Scamps, Daedroth, Clannfear and Dremoras.

I hope they have some new editions with some unique abilities or skills.

Slightly off topic, but I can't wait to see Goblins.

I hope Scamps have that cute, exaggerated Gremlin-esque face like they did in Morrowind. Oblivion's fuzzy humanoid-things looked kind of unimpressive.

Love to see them.. also because they will be the conjuration school pretty much, so it'll be a twofer.

Myself like to see, Clanfear, Daedroth, Ogrims and the spider daedra.

I'd like to see a greater variety if they are in, kind of like Morrowind, which had lesser Daedra from most of the princes. Oblivion had mostly Daedra from the Deadlands (under Mehrunes).

dont mind as long as i get to killem :flamethrower:

you cannot kill daedra, they are immortals. some of tes gamers (usually the ones who only played oblivion) including the mortal races of tamriel, mistakenly refer the daedra as evil, daedra are neither good or evil. when you slay a daedroth its soul returns to the waters of oblivion until its physical form is recreated. anyways i hope xivilai, dremora, ogrim, winged twilights, frost atronachs, and new daedra are in skyrim, theyre awesome!

Golden saints and the dark seducers ARE daedra from shaegoraths realm when dremora are from mehrunes dagon (i think)

Golden Saints are a play on the http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/LightIsNotGood. Granted in Oblivion there not exactly evil, but there not what you would call very nice beings.

I've seen art references to Azura's statue, she looks schmexy! As well she should.

What I want to know is, will Daedra Seducers be back? :hubbahubba:

even if they are, dont expect nudity... or much skimpiness at all, bethesda doesnt seem to go for that stuff anymore.

I was thinking about the same things.

It makes me sad that they probably won't return in Daggerfall form because of the nudity. The game is rated M, for those 18+, and yet they shy away from nudity more today? With that rating, we should be able to see the most graphic stuff - gore, nudity, and six related things in Skyrim! Because you certainly can if you're 18 or older anywhere else in real life. <_<

*Sigh*.......it makes no sense to me that the real world has ratings that are actually implemented and enforced, and yet the video game industry is absolutely broken when it comes to the rating and content control. It is ruining the media (videogames) nowadays.

BASHING THE FORUM TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daedra can look like anything, hell in Daggerfall your generic Daedra Lord (not princes) was a human warrior with long blonde hair an d a cape. Now Dremora, I presume theyll look more or less the same.

The talk about nudity not being in the game, I just have to say if theres no nudity for seducers its more likely that Bethesda doesnt want to run the risk. Remember when the hot coffee thing came out for GTA? Yeah, people of authority in the US tend to flip their lid when ANYTHING sixual is brought up, its so stupid. I personally dont care for nudity in video games, but the fact that killings things is okay, being naked isnt is just...weird >.> . ON Topic however, I hope there isnt too much in the way of Daedra, just the odd summon and such, since like a previous poster said I prefer fighting human (Or humanoid) opponents as opposed to demons :P

My criticism is that the rating system is broken for the game industry, and the fact that we had more adventurous artwork and design in older games that no one seems to care about is a testament to the lunacy of the whole issue.

My problem is that it could be solved by ACTUAL RATINGS that are enforced, rather than vague ratings that tell you about the content and give you a "recommended age" for use, but have to avoid material that would actually make sense for the highest age group because there's no enforcement of the restriction. Ironically, one could argue the same is true of internet pormography, alcohol, or tobacco products for minors. And yet those issues still remain, and those actually make a huge impact in real life! Which is just silly because videogames would have the least impact on real life out of that whole group, by far.

I'm just saying, the media of videogames needs to evolve and see some serious changes. Otherwise, the rating system needs to be abolished for its uselessness. I would prefer that videogames be treated at least with the respect of movies, television, music, and books. As it stands now, they are still treated like "toys" by the general authorities. It's just disgusting.

EDIT: Sorry for the off topic ranting, but it comes up so easily when I think about or discuss Bethesda games, which are inherently more mature than most others.

I hope the higher daedra creatures look a bit more hellish this time. All the daedra in oblivion were pretty silly looking and not intimidating in the slightest.

If you hear there's a daedra in a mine you should probably be very afraid to go in.

Dohohoho! :hehe:

What are you talking about? The bodies look the same, and as for the head, http://pcformat.techradar.com/files/images/o7.jpg the Morrowind one looks much closer to human. The Oblivion one is some distorted, freakish thing with huge gruesome teeth, animalistic noses and shrivelled eyes. The Morrowind ones look like old men.
