The gun's stats are formidable: it fires 25mm air-bursting shells up to 2,300 feet (700 meters), well past the range of most rifles used by today's soldiers, and programs them to explode at a precise distance, allowing troops to neutralize insurgents hiding behind walls, rocks or trenches or inside buildings.

PEO Soldier says studies show the XM25 is 300 percent more effective than current weapons at the squad level.

The revolutionary advance involves an array of sights, sensors and lasers that reads the distance to the target, assesses elements such as air pressure, temperature, and ballistics and then sends that data to the microchip embedded in the XM25 shell before it is launched.

Beware, this weapon could be landing in your next Call of Duty or Crysis game for maximum noob. :P

Talk about awesomness, I want one. :)

If this ever falls in the hands of gaming noobs, were in for a serious s-storm.
+ {I don't think they will put such a weapon in Crysis though, way too un-fair}
Impressive find, Talon95.

Imagine if like half the people in call of duty have this weapon on one map, it would be real messy. But there was something similar in gears 2, it was tough to use and there was only 1 in the whole game but it works if you are having trouble getting someone behind cover in the game.

Cool gun and perfect for the nex cod :) If you first have to put in some data before you shoot it....should be fun spraying cannon balls. Any of you seen the hacked cod lobbys whit unlimited noob tubes and rockets. What a waste of ammo.

That is a fixed firing position which you must fire once it locks. This grenade launcher automatically calculates this stuff, you can time it to explode over walls or after it gets through walls and stuff like that.

At least, there is some kind of balance on these weapons. :)

Yes this real-life weapon sounds a little overpowered to me.

i wonder if it isnt cheaper to grab a rocket launcher and blow all the cover up lol
