Important Notes and Changes

I will GM the RP but its pretty open. Mainly I will adding random events to keep the RP interesting such as adding in events to nations and how they will react to it such as famine or economic downturn.

This RP will follow the manner of an opening Summit at a nation and then at the end of it, players will RP their nation.

At most, our nations will start of knowing their neighbors and have some info upon farther neighbors. (Example. http://www.roleplayerguild.com/topics/19392/posts/ic)

Having interactions of NPC nations is fine. In all honesty, preventing people from interacting NPC nation reduces a players creativity and forces them only to interact with player based nations. (Which really pissed me off how we couldn't do that in the Summits)

I'd be up for this, however I'd rather it be a vote to decide victors if battles occur instead of a Gm.

You can still be a Gm and add events but I kind of want roleplayers to decide upon victors of a battle

Ya that still stands in the last convention where the NCR invaded a how they calculated out the battle by taking account of each nations militaries.

Ok.

I am reserving the Soviet Union.

So this is basicly like the conventions? So we will have a summit then roleplay our nations, then have a time skip of 6 months and have another summit correct?

I'm very interested, I need to think about a nation for a bit before I claim one though. I don't want to make the wrong decision

I am assuming this will work like the past conferences?

How previous Conferences worked, is all business basically took place on a single day each year. The nations would meet up at the host's nation, and you would RP as the leaders/diplomats of your nation.

After the first conference, you would write a one year "report" on what happened in your nation.

If you go back far enough, you can find some examples.

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1477431-american-conference-ooc-4/

http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1475641-american-conference-ii-paradigm-consortium/

That was the last "conference"s that took place, a bit before the Columbia RP started. This one was cut rather short, but some past ones had 22-30 OOC threads.

Simple we RP our nations. We conduct deals, wage war etc. (Never heard of RISK).

Ok cool.

A summit to conduct deals and diplomacy and what not but I want to try something different where after the convention, we then RP as our nation. (Check the link to the RPG guild on OP. Void of Stars is a good example of how we are going to RP our nation after the summits).

Forgot but population would be much higher of course. It wouldn't be in the low millions but beyond the 12 million.

Also after the summits, we go into seasons. Every 25 posts we make a transition to a new seasons. Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter. When we reach 100 posts, we will make a time skip of 4 years. (Can change of course).

It's almost funny that this pops up.

I have been working on my spare time a way to improve, and add some life to the conventions. I integrated a S.P.E.C.I.A.L. type system into it, simply called T.R.P.T., or TRaPT.

However, this seems interesting enough, and would give me a feel for this style of RP. I might take Canada, though I feel as though the land should include Ontario and Quebec at least. Most of real life Ontario is forest and lakes, and I believe so is Quebec, so it's not like there are massive cities.

Also, there are a lot more rules to the conventions.

Generally your military is at max 10% of your total population. Also, if your technology is advanced power armor, and energy weapons, don't expect to have a very large army, let alone a large population.

This is, of course, all up to the GM/Bosmight.

I could expand some more of Canada.

I find that having nation in the 2300s with low population to be odd especially if they were created in the 2100s or 2200s since world population would be large in the 2300s (Not in Modern era times of course but maybe somewhere around the 19th century.)

That's more a limit people should follow but if they break it's their choice but that would be detrimental to their economy and other things.

Put me down for the Legion,

As for military size... well the legion can't just be 10% military. They are a legion of soldiers and tribes put together, sure there will be civilians but 90% civilians? Probably not

It's worked before.

A lot of people change up factions a lot. The max I could see is 15%.
