The next 25 questions :D

Why in god's name did BGS waste their precious time adding marriage, when they could be adding any other gameplay improvements?

This is considering the fact that they used this excuse to explain why spears could not be added.

Will we be able to explore all structures, or will the Fallout trend of boarded up or otherwise unexplorable prop buildings be continued?

The same list of questions I asked in the fan FAQ questions thread:

- How does marksmanskill work this time around (i.e. is accuracy involved or is it just drawingspeed and damage)
- Will there be any skillbased restrictions (i.e. skillrequirements for certain weapons, armor, potions, spells etc)?
- Will the game offer the player choices which will result in severe and irreversible consequences?
- Will the guilds/factions the player can support have skill requirements which would require the player to commit to them, and similiarly, will the guilds/factions lock each other out - at least some of them, and at the very least after certain point?
- Will the economy of the game be both harsh and rewarding, or is the mercantile skill once again useless, and the player a millionaire at level <7?
- The levelscaling is said to be similiar to that of Fallout 3. Is it exact or tuned to be less obvious (i.e. more retaining both challenge and sense of progression -- in fallout 3 both were pretty much absent after the first few levels)?
- Will the difficultycurve at default difficultysetting be more steep (more over, will the difficultyslider be more sophisticated than just creating damagesponges)?
- How will the races be different from each other (i.e. is there more to them than just aesthetics and a couple of relatively minor racial traits)?
- With all the weapontypes under one skill (onehanded for example), are the weapons themselves differentiated from each other by functionality that would make a real difference in what one uses (attack speed, base damage, armor piercing effects, etc)?
- Why, instead of adding to the attributes and making them more than what they were, were they cut down?
- With a the hundreds of perks, how will you balance their effects to make them differ from each other - and with the faster leveling and perk per level, how will you keep the perks actually rewarding instead of commodities to be taken for granted?
- Why is the leveling made faster -- it was already a complain on both Oblivion and Fallout 3 that the characterprogression was too fast -- could there be any measures to affect that (like the difficultyslider)?
- Will there be any real benefits from speechcraft this time around?
- How will you handle the minigames so that they really do take the characterskill into accout and are not obtrusive and overly easy as before?
- Will there be compassmarkers pointing to the exact location of the "quest item"? If yes, could there be some measures to be done to let the player switch it to simple general mapmarkers and better directions from NPC's, so that the handholding could be cut down at least somewhat?
- On that note: How much does the game guide and assist the player (i.e. pulling from the nose to the right direction and leave little to at the players responsibility)?
- In the trailer, there was head bobbing presented. Will that be a feature (at least a toggleable one) in the game, or will movement be presented as a floating (hovering) camera again?

1. Mercantile is yet a skill?

2. Fire spells can melt ice?

3. Puzzles in Dungeons... Just for doors?

4. There are a perk to make animals (like wolfs) friendly (like F3) ?

5. Chance birthsign in game... There are some kind of penalty for doing this?

Apparently they perceived greater nerd rage about the lack of marriage than about the lack of spears.

Well that, and they seem to have a sadistic streak about removing things, and the more "new" things they add the more they have to remove next game around because it didn't work perfectly the first time they tried it.

1: Can we get even bigger, more epic battles with more NPCs onscreen if all garments, armor or other, are merged into one-piece outfits and maybe do away with dual-wielding thus allowing all weapons to be a single piece as well to increase the NPC count?

2: Will marriage have the same sort of "divorce" mechanic as Vampirism and Lycanthropy, as in "I'm gonna do the 'undo' quest so I don't have to be [a Vampire/a Werewhatever/Married] any more?"

If I were still as excited about Skyrim before the QA I would have wanted my original question asked(and hopefully answered0. Then I looked at the piss poor response and general blowing of smoke up everyones ass and decided my new question(s) would be :

So for the past 5 years what have you been doing to improve content? Was the "streamlining" of virtually every facet of the game for "ease of developement" or is their really any more content besides tavern brawls and marriage? How much have the technical improvements to graphics and animations consumed time and budget from the content perspective? Why has the creation kit now become a reliance for good and original developement? Is this to justify more highlights to bring mods to console? (bad idea for a good purpose)

It's quite a few more than the original 1 question that I asked.

If we get another chance to ask Todd stuff what would u ask:

u can make 25 ones or a few depends on what u would like to know :P

For me I would ask about:

1- Robes! will they have SOME cloth physics, or at least some animations in the lower part.

2- Will we see capes/cloaks this time around??

3- Will alchemy have more options now like choosing colors and shapes for bottles??? or will all home made stuff look the same again?

4- Can we enchant arrow in batches?

5- Will poisoned weapons work like in the witcher (time based effects and oils) or will they remain lame like in OB??

all I can think about now :D

ive got the same questions. Its a good 5 to find answers for. Good choice.

I'd like to know more about the UI changes that have been made for the PC version.

Also, if plants will visually change when you've harvested them.

OH indeed plants were always "containers" in OB and MW I wonder if they will change that, I would imagine it would help game performance  cause I always noted the game suffers when too many container types are around

Can we toggle off the quest arrow on the HUD?

I'm hoping to not be forced to to see it. I have a hunch it won't be due to the inclusion of directions and the option to be guided by quest givers at times, because what's the point if there is the glaring quest arrow on the screen... but I'd like to have it confirmed.

Didn't quite get that one, was it meant as a joke? If not, how does hoping for gay marriages make me as bad as him? o;

If it was an obvious joke and I didn't get it however.. Excuse my stupidity, 72 hours without sleep does that to ya.

He/she meant that if you hold that one person's homophobia against them, you're "stooping to their level" so-to-speak.

Will stat damaging enemies ever return? like the zombies in Morrowind that could drain your stats unless you had the correct restoring potion or spell. Mind you having the potions and spells were stupidly elusive but having your player become weakened was really interesting and changed up the way you played in a way that I thought was pretty cool. You could potentially throw this in by making diseases more prevalent which I suppose is another question in of itself, how do diseases work this time around?

I have removed a few gay bashing posts along with responses to them. Please don't go off topic with a "gay right or wrong" thread. We aren't here to judge other's life style. If someone has a question about gay marriage or gay characters, post the question but please do it in a non-judgmental way and without namecalling.

1) Can you join a side in the civil war?

2) I don't require any extra info on the matter, but can you at least confirm one way or another whether Vampires or Werewolve are in the game?

3) How deep does the crafting go, can you design you own weapons such as put different blades onto different pummels. Can you adjust the blade length, change the blade style eg, serated, curved etc. Can you combine different ore's eg Ebony and make any style weapon eg Elven, Orc, Dwemer from it with the approriate design?..... If that mae any sense?
