No, please just no.
The only kind of gun that would even fit would be the early muskets, terrible range, low power, take a week to reload, can't use when it's raining and more likely to blow your hands off than kill a target. The only reason they caught on was that you needed less training for one than using a bow or a sword. (Which is why the Japanese shoguns banned them for a time, a peasant with an afternoons instruction could kill a Samurai that had been training his whole life)
Otherwise, they just don't fit. Magic fills in the gaps that guns were developed for.
There are cannons in TES, but primarily shipboard.
edit: Oh, and there won't be another Skyrim. There will be another TES, but not a Skyrim 2 or anything like that.
Guns belong in Fallout, not Elder Scrolls.
Even the dwemer didn't have guns; giant walking crossbows, yes. Guns, no.
Cannons as siege/ship weapons, yes. Its in the lore. Guns, no.
Every Elder Scrolls game stands alone. Skyrim is done. The next game will be unique, not Morrowind2 or Oblivion2 or Skyrim2.
i think they need som assalt rifel like ,may be one or 2 in the game or somthin low like rare anxcd then it wold be cool cause u cold go around shootign guys with bows and stuf alkso were u find the canons?
On that note, I've always found it weird that the various castles, fortresses, forts and fortified cities we've seen in the games don't have cannons for defense. Even if just for looks.
Wait for Fallout 4. It will be on a similar engine to Skyrim and will probably be the next game by Bethesda.
