The next West Coast Fallout...

Somewhere northwest of USA - maybe even partly over the border to Canada - could probably make a decent and refreshing setting.

Radiation snow.
But yeah I'd like something to the north as well.

And I really dislike the Fallout 1 and 2 remake idea.
They're classical games that shouldn't be tampered with because no matter who does the conversion they will fail to make it as good as they originally were.
It's a nice idea on paper but the actual result would svck.
They'd probably make them FPS as well. :pukes;

A http://i691.photobucket.com/albums/vv277/asechrist86/3179888-The-frozen-tundra-1.jpg esque wasteland. Or most preferably, partly tundra and partly desert to give some variety to the map.

Yeah. Converting those games to "modern era" (streamlined accessibility, dumbing down, FPS) wouldn't achieve anything worthwhile, just a huge backlash. And besides, those games already exist, so the effort of doing a game is best put in new stories and locations.

I, for one, do not want to see a remake/re-envisioning of Fallout 1/2. Like the above poster said, it would achieve absolutely nothing. Let's face it, not one of the people who suggested it would actually like the game were it actually made; it would be completely doomed to failure. Not commercially, I'm sure, but every original Fallout fan in the world would be up in arms.

Besides, I'd be much more interested in seeing other parts of the country. I'm also a little biased in hoping for a game that takes place in Canada, but it would be interesting to actually see what it's like post-annexation. Any sort of new environment would be interesting, though.

I have to agree, I really do NOT want to see a re-make of 1&2.

Of course seeing other parts of the world would be quite fun I think, though interesting to see how they'd implement it.
Part of me laughs at a memory of a Robin Williams skit..
What about the areas of the world that are still practically stone-age.. Fallout Scenario.. now having guns, lasers, plasma.. UPGRADE! :D

I wouldn't mind seeing something with snow, like Canada. Or the northwest US, like Washington.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Texas done, especially since it's a big place. I keep seeing the area to explore getting smaller and smaller.

What I would like, though, is going back in time a bit. More towards the FO:1 or FO:2 time

I put it in the wrong place last night as I was half asleep when I started it. I'm sure I'm not the first person though.

Does anyone know where you can find a map of the Fallout U.S.? It would be helpful to have one for discussions like this.
