Is the night mother Mephala?

I been reading up on the background information on the dark brotherhood, morag tong and Mephala the more I read the more I think that the dark brotherhood are actually worshiping Mephala. I mean majority of the acts the dark brotherhood does Mephala will definitely approve of. I haven't played morrowind but to me it seemed that mephala pitted these two groups against each other. She may have even allowed them to kill each other I mean she would do something like that, heck her oblivion quest shows she would enjoy the show these two groups would put on by killing each other.

When I examine the morag tong they seem to be more business like as time went on while the brotherhood is more of a cult than anything else. I mean I could imagine that mephala would get upset that the tong now worshipped vivec to continue their existence and the dark brotherhood did not like this so this is what caused the schism to happen. Well this is one of the theories one that I believe actually.

I mean according to this book

http://www.imperial-library.info/content/fire-and-darkness

Mephala is the night mother or could be an aspect of her. The more I look into this the more I start to believe that the dark brotherhood are actually worshiping Mephala. I mean the way the night mother talks to you in skyrim and when you do the whispering door quest to me it just feels similar. Well books in elder scrolls are not really conclusive evidence but there other things in the lore that kinda points to it being her or an aspect of her.

Anyway I can be could be completely wrong but there are some links that point out that may actually be her. What do you lot think? People here know a lot more about lore than me so I am quite interested to know your thoughts on the matter well anyway the more I look into it the more true it seems to be, well for me that is.

Playing through the Dark Brotherhood questline in Daggerfall, they openly give praise to Mephala and even refer to her as the 'night mother' on several occasions, albeit non-capitalized. The so called 'Void' they speak of is also likely to be of Mephala's plane as she is stated as having numerous domains, each mirroring one of her many cults.

Wow never knew about this! I did think that the void is actually mephala's realm this new information does help.

They are probably the same. Information given above along with the fact that Sithis is just a reactionary force and not really a living entity make it very likely.

I've always liked the Mephala theory, as it makes the clown cult far more interesting. But one needs to look only to Deepscorn Hollow to see how spiritually confused dark brotherhood actually is.

I thought the Void was Sithis, the emptiness outside of the Aurbis.

I'd say no. I think they are seperate entities entirely. And the Void is a real place outside of everything. Not Mephala's realm.

That is THE Void but it's not the confused Brotherhood's Void. The so called Void that they speak of as their afterlife and the place that they send their victims is likely to be of Mephala's realm. It is separate from the true Void, the emptiness surrounding Mundus that you speak of. They have been deceived by the Webspinner. The 'Sithis' that the Brotherhood reveres is closer to an aspect of Lorkhan, as can be seen in the statue of Sithis in Deepscorn Hollow. It is missing its heart, just like Lorkhan. By killing they are exacting a limit to the life of mortals, the same way Lorkhan brought death to the Aurbis in the interplay. By hailing Sithis they are revering chaos itself and the act of causing it, and they certainly bring chaos when they kill. They bring chaos to the stasis of society. They cause 'Sithis' through their actions. They are in effect, celebrating the very act of killing itself.
