Do the Nine Divines even exist? : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

I've been thinking about it and I'm starting to think that the Divines don't really exist. They don't seem to interact with Nirn like the Daedra and the blessings from their shrines could be explained through placebo effect. The only real proof that I could find for the exstance of the Divines is the Heart of Lorkhan but that's only for one entity.

P.S. Sorry, if i'm missing any really obvious evidence of the Divines or if there's another topic similar to this one.

Edit: I just remembered Akatosh at the end of Oblivion.

Where do you meet Wulf? I played through the the MQ and most of Tribunal and haven't seen him.

The Prophet from KotN, Alduin and the rest of the Dragons from Skyrim, Auriel's Bow and other Aedric Artifacts.

Ras...something or other from Morrowind is the avatar of Mara. IIRC shes hostile as well. Love stunk during your journey through Vvardenfell.

Ama Nin is the avatar of Mara, and Jon Hawker of Zenithar. We meet them both during quests for the Imperial Cult. I don't think they were hostile, though - was there another avatar we met?

They exist they just cant affect Nirn as much as Daedra can at least that's how it looks to me.

Is it because they lost a lot of their power in creating Mundus and the way the are bound to it prevents them from intervening more directly than through avatars and simple blessings or is it because something else prevents from doing what the Daedra can?

Debatable. Ted Peterson and Ramara herself both thought Ama was Julianos. Ras something was the forth (and never talked about) avatar...perpetually Stendarr. Or so that ancient chat would have us believe.
