The Nine Holds of Skyrim (Map) : V

I made a quick map to show where the nine holds are. The exact borders aren't known yet, but it's close enough. I also included the names of the main cities for each hold.
EDIT: The map is now more accurate thanks to Dragonbone.

Interesting. If you look to the far left near Markarath, in Reach, you'll see a canyon. I can picture a gray, rocky, and craggy cliffside there. Fun stuff.

Great.. If there's any room north of Riften.. I think that is where I'm going to add the Argonian Outpost. as that's closest to Morrowind and the Black Marsh

Sorry, but those are not accurate for the current version. We've seen a map that includes the borders of the holds (except possibly one, I was only able to count eight, and the left of the map is blurry, so the Northwest hold may be actually 2 holds) and the names of most of them are visible as well. It's been changed around a bit. http://skyrimguild.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/01/Skyrim-map.png Here is a map I did which clarifies it. Political borders are black lines. Also, pretty sure High Hrothgar is a mountain, not a city.

Yes, the map is somewhat outdated and someone wrote that small writing over the top. It's just to show where the holds are.

I know some parts of it are wrong, as I explained a post above yours, it was mostly speculation based on older info. Nonetheless, the holds can be seen on the map from the behind the scenes video, seperated by dashed lines, with names written in them. What is your source for these holds names and locations?

The Pale is in the wrong location first of all. Ever heard of the Pale pass in Oblivion? It leads into Skyrim. Why do you think its called The Pale Pass?

See the left of the two holds in that area? See the words that say "The Pale" there? Now see the hold in the pine forest region where Pale pass would be? See the writing saying "Falkreath Hold"?

And here I was just about to post about how the Pale is in the wrong location on your map. The one Dragonbone posted is based on the official map we've seen in several preview videos - it may be incomplete in some ways, but all the information on it is 100% definite.

And it's called the Pale Pass because it's pale. More than one thing can be pale.

If it is a seperate hold (it's hard to see on the map and it may have changed in 200 years to only 8), it could perhaps be a repositioning of Northshore, which I think was one of the original holds.

So if that is indeed the name of that particular hold, maybe there are fjords in the game. The water covered parts looks like they could be fjords.
