Downloading is currently disabled on nexus because the full version of the mod is being worked and is a lot different to the current beta. The beta is still available on TESAlliance

"The fifth sees and opening
His sword is thrust so true
He underestimates the warrior
He takes him for a fool

Magnus saw the blade incoming
And blocked it with his shield
Now the fifths sword and insides
Lay strewn across the field"

The Northern Front is a large, multi-path quest mod where the player buys information from a mercenary contractor and decides them self what they will do with their newly acquired knowledge. There are no quest markers, no obvious hints and no linear "go here, kill this, get this" quests. The player will have to use their wits and skill to make a profit in this shady mercenary business. Everything you would expect to be able to do, you will. Will you gather information, and follow up leads through word of mouth and paper trails? Will you use stealth, infiltration and espionage to work alongside the shadows in achieving your goal? Will you use your charm and sharp tongue to strut your way to a profit? Or will you cleave first and ask questions second, simply cutting down all those who get in your way...

This mod offers all of these paths. All quests have multiple endings and rewards. Decisions you make in some quests will have direct effects on others. You get to truly play as your character would, and not just as the common quest would restrict. This is the main focus of this mod - quests that are original, fun to play and force you to think and decide on the best way to proceed

Cool!
Even though I spent many hours with Oblivion I haven't done that many of the quests that I got. But more can't hurt :D

Good luck with the voice acting, is Ntom still available to you?

Cheers! :foodndrink:

Tested, this mod DOES conflict with the UL Colivian Highlands, but no others. I'll start making a patch

Looks very interesting, I always love new quest mods. Once my current character gets up to a decent level I'll be sure to give it shot :).

There is no level requirement :)

Via dialog and smart choices you can avoid it altogether. However, there is a lot of combat for anybody who chooses that path

Thanks to everyone who has offered to do voice acting. Most of the large male parts are covered now, although there are some left, and all of the female parts are still available

Quick question, I noticed the UL patch is a bit different then the ones we usually see. Should I just replace the Northern Front esp from the 081 package with the one from the UL patch download?

Yep, replace the esp
It's a minor fix, the next version won't need a patch, it'll just be compatible

Continuing with this, isn't it a better idea to have a separate patch plugin like the majority of patches, so that you don't need to update the patch every time you change something in the main plugin?

On that note, have you updated the UL patch to include the 081 changes, or will using the patch revert me back to 080?

081 doesn't require the patch, the patch was just for the people who downloaded initially and a few people who I sent it to before releasing it
I should've edited the main post sorry, it slipped my mind

Why not just take down the patch then, if it's not needed? Some people will end up downloading it despite the description, and that'll just cause headache later. (I didn't read the description myself when downloading the update, hence my original question)

I've added the mod to BOSS. :)

It hit about 200 downloads before I uploaded the patch, I'll leave it up for another day for those who have v0.8 and then take it down

Thanks for adding it to BOSS :)

Just curious - where are the locations of the new structures (inn etc.) added by this mod? Can you upload an image with the structures on the World Map?

This will help see if there is any conflict with another mod...

By the way, no compatibility issues with FCOM?

This looks really interesting - and quite a feat for one man! Congratulations on a great mod release... :foodndrink:

The only new structure is a camp which is a stonesthrow away from Dragonclaw Rock. It's due north west of it. The only large mod I found in that area was UL Snowdale, and the mods now been made to be compatible with that. There were just a few issues with newly added trees and rock blocking waypoints

I can't imagine there would be any compatibility issues with FCOM
