Better Bodies 2.2

Thank you Helena but I already use BB and that makes ppl hot only when they are naked, right? I also use better clothes, but Girls torso are still squared. I'm thinking I need to find a proper armor/cloathes replacer suited for better bodies.

Ah - I think you want http://jw_mcguinn.rethan-manor.net/page4.htm parts 1-5. It's an armour replacer, not a clothing or body replacer.

Thank you Helena, Divine Domina made the trick, even better with the Darknuts textures made for it. I just couldn't find a working download link for CanadianIce's Domina (Glass, Steel, Ice, Nordic Mail, Wolf).

About Vvanderfel Visages, it is pretty good but I couldn't make it work with Better Heads (With BH active it uses only BH textures even after replacing them  )
But for people like me that disagrees with some of the heads (specially purple dunmer eyes), it says in the readme that you can choose which heads to not use, kinda teaching how to delete the files. I'll try and do that after work. I guess that free DDS viewer i've downloaded a while ago will help me now with that.

Hi, Ser.

About Vvanderfel Visages, it is pretty good but I couldn't make it work with Better Heads (With BH active it uses only BH textures even after replacing them  )

I'm aware that I'm nearly 2 months late (been away from Morrowind and the Community for the last few weeks. My apologies), but just in case it might still be useful to someone:

To use Vvardenfell Visages' faces with Better Heads, 3 easy steps:

1) Use http://niftools.sourceforge.net/wiki/NifSkope to view the meshes and pick the ones you want;

2) rename the selected meshes from Vvardenfell Visages with the IDs from the Better Heads' meshes that you want to replace;

3) move the renamed meshes into the BH folder of your Morrowind directory (...\Morrowind\Data Files\Meshes\BH)

(Make sure you have the Textures from Vvardenfell Visages installed.)

That's all. ^_^

Now that I'm back, I will resume updating this thread. Thanks to Helena, I now have a list of NPCs from Morrowind's main quest, but I'm still in need of suggestions for Tribunal and Bloodmoon.
Also, I plan to add some screenshots of Orcs and beast races to the main replacers. Six NPCs (males and females) of each race should do. Here again, any suggestion will be welcome.

Thanks.

Just found this today, and this is amazingly helpful! I think I will probably go with Better Faces.

BEST THREAD IDEA EVER.
This needs to be done with all kinds of replacers/re-tex's IMO.

I've known of this thread for ages but I figured it was finally time for me to thank you for taking the time to compile these comparisons - especially useful during the Holidays when I tend to go on a spree of indoctrinating friends into the Church of Morrowind (three souls claimed in 2009)!

I myself have never drifted from Better Heads both because I like how consistent it is with the originals and how it remains fairly stylized. Many of the other replacers, to me, effectively make everybody looked like a recolored photograph of a person, or makes them too visually "smooth" like someone out of a moronic Japanese RPG. Then there's other little nitpicks - Fargoth with crow's feet? Guards with anime eyes? Caius Cosades as Sean Connery?! Not happening.

Still, it's quite interesting to see what the various face modders have been working on without having to hunt for the downloads. I myself think that, at the end of the day, Morrowind's head system is far superior to Oblivion's - I'd rather have a defined set of heads that are easy to swap and fairly visually distinct from one another than have everybody look near-identical or a victim of the Construction Set's http://i46.tinypic.com/fmic9i.jpg. :ahhh:

Which guard heads do you think have anime eyes?

Question-

Regarding http://netelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6173 I read in http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=956115&view=findpost&p=13811812 that it is not considered a replacer. It is not listed in this thread either.

So if it is not a head replacer - what the heck is it?

does it just give the player character more heads and not effect NPCs? That does not sound right. Is it?

Question-

So if it is not a head replacer - what the heck is it?

Answer-

As it stands now, the MHP is a compilation of every head that I ever made
for the player character (and was made, in large, by request by those that
wanted to be able to have all my head mods in one convenient pack, rather
than having to download all of the smaller packs). It was never touted to be
a head replacer, but I am working on updating all of my textures and adding
them to the NPCs of Vvardenfell (but such takes time; of which I have less
these days, but I do make the time to tackle the heads as I am able).

:)

EDIT: See this thread for futher information and updates ;)

Thanks Westly - very much look forward to any NPC make over you do and am searching out some of the individuals now. Good stuff.

on another unrelated note.

I just had a really bad experience trying to install 'Changing Faces NPCS Replacer' via BAIN - it would not let me uninstall the data files and I had to go in there by hand an manually compare the original mod archive against the one I created. Most likely this is due to limitations with Wrye Mash.

In doing that I found that this mod had bits and pieces of architecture and other world replacer stuff that had nothing to do with faces that seemed to sloppily been left in the textures folder.

I think after that experience and the hour plus it took to fish those files out THE NPC Makeover with its BSA files are now the most shiniest.

Thanks for this AfroKing, its great having everything here in one thread. While I was going through the pictures, I noticed that Sellus Gravius is wearing different Templar armor in some of them. Any idea where it comes from?

Hey um, Afroking, have you thought about adding in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1057651-wipz-westlys-head-replacers-still-working-on-a-better-title/

I know it's not finished yet, since only the High-Elves, Bretons, Nords and Orcs have been completed, but I thought I'd still alert you to it.

Don't worry, it's been on my "to do" list since Westly started releasing bits of it.
I'm just waiting for the Dunmers, Bosmers, Redguards and Imperials to be released, so that all NPCs featured on my 3 comparison pics (http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/9658/trombinoscope01defaultm.jpg,http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/8774/trombinoscope02defaultm.jpg,http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/6475/trombinoscope03defaultm.jpg) are covered.

I use Vaardenfell Visages and I plan on using Westly′s replacers for the Orcs, Imperials, Redguards & Wood Elves; the rest I feel are quite nice, but its great too see some other mods still alive here

Being the picky and miserable old scrib that I can be at times, I find both "good" and "bad" faces in almost every compilation. I suppose that the only way I'll be truly "happy" with my selection will be to download several (or all) of these and choose the ones in each compilation that I like best, then manually paste them all into a directory.

In particular, I take exception to a few examples where the faces diverge so far from the original that you'd never recognize the character, or where one face looks almost "photorealistic" and the next one in the same set looks like some sort of anime cartoon caricature. Then too, there are a few that are technically "good", but just don't fit my mental image of that character.

Each compilation seems to have a few shining examples which display the artist's (or artists') abilities (and there's no shortage of talent, from the looks of things), and I can't say that any of these compilations isn't worth the download. Thanks for setting all this up for easy comparison.

Herculean job AfroKing, and a great thank you for doing this!

If I had a clear ancient high school pic, I would bow my huge old red afro to the King.

IS there any reason why if I downloaded the plugin it would not work? It seems all the faces are still the same. Do I need to start a new game or something?
