this mod looks beautiful, the walking animation looks fantastic.

the centaur shouldn't be able to sneak but the crouch animation could be useful for players who use mods that allow you to watch your character sleep

i think you're doing an amazing job of merging a human with a horse.

also, ppl may think that the human body is oversized for the horse body......but if humans themselves can have over/undersized limbs.....why can't centaurs?

if it was an option between no armor and a 'perfect' merge OR a longer body with armor, i'd take the second option

Keep up the fantastic work

At the moment Im waiting on to see if i can get a tool to rewrite string palettes, Im not wasting half an hours doing a tedious manual rewrite if a script can be written that will do it in seconds for me, also some blender issues (which I think i have solved now) was halting the custom animations.

I dont like to give release dates, cause i never end up meeting them,

woot, thanks to some great work from amorilia I can convert the horse animations over to my new skeleton within minutes without all that tedious work I was doing before that took me ages to convert one.

That said, this solves a big problem Ive been having, but this is still a long way from being done. Once i get these animations copied over, I then must start creating a few from scratch (like sideways animations), but I think I have solved the collision issue I was having with this, so that problem shouldnt stop me.

For the most, once the bast animations are down (movement is all directions (walking and running) and idles) then its just a simple merge with ompaw (got to add that ot the credits right now) and the animation is done (all all those fighting ones). I may even be able to skip a few....but thats a maybe.

Dont lose heart, hope to have some new video soon of my custom made animations! :)

okay, question time.

Should a centaur be able to run backwards? i cant think of a natural way to make that, what do people think? no running backwards?

Yeah I don't really think that there's a way to be able to run backwards and not make it look stupid. I usually don't care about the whole, "you shouldn't be able to run backwards because it's unrealistic thing", but a horse running backwards? I don't really think that can be done well.

So +1 for no running backwards.

Yeah, I don't think a running backwards anim would look right. But please, please, make a "walking" backward animation. It'll help with backing out of blocked corners, plus I'm pretty sure horses do back up from time to time.

New video up:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vxg0UVCqCrA

It includes the running and walking backward animations, next ill start on the jumping and swimming animations that the horse already has. Then I get to start making the horse strafing animations....once I get my blender issue fixed.

Looks real good! Much better than the last animations. And also +1 for no running backwards.

Looking at it, it might be impossible to stop NPC centaur from running backward, but ill put in the dodgy animation for them so its not too bad.

this is coming together quite well now.

Is there going to be an animation for the flip that you can do with high acrobatics?

I have a suggestion. Perhaps make the man half act less like he is walking like a human while he moves. It just seems, unnatural. Same for the run, I don't think that a man-horse would need to move its torso like that to move better. In fact, the upper body should have some motion to it, but i think it should remain a little more still. The torso should still move mind you, but I think it should ac less human like. Awesome job on the mod so far though, I very rarely want to play as a fantasy creature in my games, and this might make me actually do it!

as I have stated many, many times, I cannot touch the human part. I if was to remove the torso movement, then everyone in the game would no longer have that movement.

while I agree that it would look better have a onslight forward/backward sway and very little arm movement, it is simply not possible.

Wow this really is most impressive. :goodjob:

Not sure if you already answered this previously but is there a chance you could use Robert's upper body instead of vanilla?

Will you add any kind of functional substitute for the acrobatics flip? Even just a quicker version of the jump. I don't understand all of the processes, so if it's a time consuming technical thing, that's fine. :)

Great looking mod so far! :ahhh: :tops: :coolvaultboy: :toughninja:

Sorry if this has already come up but have you heard of MAO (mayus animation overhaul)? From what I've read, it lets the PC have different animations than the rest of the NPC's. Might be useful, might not. I don't know much about it as I don't use it myself.
