I've had deathclaws take my head off (and I mean this quite literally) with one swing. Finally, at level 22, I can kill a deathclaw with a single .308 AP round through the head, then sit back and watch his friends run around in circles because they have no idea what just happened. Oh, and it takes a whopping 2-3 hits now before I start losing appendages. So there's that...

I realized how lame energy weapons generally were before it was too late and still manage to bump it up high enough to use some of the good ones and my character isn't gimped and weak.

Yay me!

I took out both Cottonwood Cove and The Fort using just my Trail Carbine, Anti-Materiel Rifle, Light Machine Gun, ED-E, Cass and some careful positioning.

I can just imagine what was going on at the cove when I arrived....

Legionnaire 1: Hey dude, did you hear? Caesar put a bounty out on that one Courier's head. You know, the one that killed your buddy.
Legionnaire 2: Yeah I tota-head explodes-
Legionnaire 1: OH MY GA-head explodes-
Legionnaire 3: Screw you guys, I'm goin' home! -head explodes-
Me on a hill far far away: Boom...headshot.

LOLZ !

Sounds like something I would do. (I did once use cliff, sneak and a grenade rifle on an NCR base just to watch the show). Every day before I quit the game I make sure I have a couple of good saves and then go Rambo on a town or camp or... Picked at random. Each time using a weapon that I haven't used yet for this activity. Nice to end the day on goof.

The only claim to fame I have is recruiting all followers on my first playthrough.

Favorite passstime is trying to find what armor/headgear will make your followers look silliest (of the stuff that they are willing to wear) and make them parade around in it.
I would SO love to make Boone wear Legion armor.

Good times.

When I first started... I grabbed all the Pre-War books I found in he Doctors house.... But after looking at a few other houses I began to realize there was no special quest for Pre-War books that would get me lots of cap.....

I bet I'm not the only one who did that either.... I was like "Sweet, look at all the books, I bet someone will pay a pretty penny for em all. Score!"

lol Now I feel smart.

^ Haha..that would be me. I immediately began picking up every pre-war book in Doc Mitchell's house, but then told myself out loud, "This isn't Fallout 3" and dropped all of them. After a lot of exploration I'm glad I did. The books are everywhere!

Just did this for the first time yesterday. It's like a little mini-game within a game... I got bored waiting for Veronica to return to the trading post, so I stripped down to nothing but a combat knife and started working my way up the food chain. Eventually landed myself a service rifle and NCR armor, so naturally Camp Golf was my first stop. I managed to slowly pick off most of the camp from the guard tower. There were maybe half a dozen left when they finally figured out where I was hiding, but fortunately a gun runner back at the trading post had been kind enough to part with his lever action shotgun. I sneak my way into the mansion and find Harlan's room where he is currently lying in bed with someone. I still have no idea who that was, because Harlan woke up and shot me in the back before I could even leave the room...

Nice! I finally found a suite of NCR Ranger armour, the one with the trench coat and gas mask. Totally [censored]ing outfit! I'm yet to meet the Deathclaw's funnily enough... Should make for quite an encounter now...
