The old give and take

So, you can remove one feature from the game to get another - example: I would give up spell crafting to get climbing and/or levitation

Spell crafting isn't confirmed.

I'd give up attributes for just about anything. Oh wait...

I got this in a fortune cookie, last night. "The cost of something is what you give up to get it."

I would GLADLY give up voice acting for more complex quests.

No need. They aren't mutually exclusive.

I would give up the Dragons to get a game that appeals to people who are over seven years old.

I'm kidding. Or do I?

Not the point. The question by the OP had nothing to do with what is or isnt mutually exclusive. But what you would give up and for what. So... I stick with my answer.

You can have full voice work and complex quests. See Skyrim.

You've played it? Tell me more about your experience. Do you have a full review posted somewhere?

But back to the OP...I'd give up actors too for...how about destructible environments! That'd be fun, right?

I'd give up dragons for more weapons and armor (can't say I know what the variety will be like in SK but I am basing my judgement from what it was like in OB)

What do you suggest the MQ be about then since you know, dragons are the story?

What? LOL

Im sorry brother. But unlike you, I have yet to play Skyrim. But I cant wait to do so.

I still would trade without a second thought, Voice Over Work. For more complex quests than what I had in Oblivion, FO3, FO:NV, Red Dead Redemption, Mass Effect 1&2... So on and so forth.

Are voice acting and complicated/multi-faceted/dynamic quests mutually exclusive? NOPE

Does having voice acting make it harder to have complicated/multi-faceted/dynamic quests? YUP

Do I expect to get good voice acting with complicated/multi-faceted/dynamic quests? Yes, but not on the current generation, specifically with dvd disk space limitations.

Again my point has nothing to do with whether its possible or not, JUST what I would be happy to trade for. Im sorry my answer to a question you didnt ask, isnt up to your standards. :hubbahubba:

I would give up hand-placed trees, bushes and grass in a ~41 square kilometer world for a bigger world with trees, bushes and grass nicely generated.

I would give up famous voice actors for more voice actors, or climbing, or more focus on graphics.

M'aiq wonders why people wish to destroy buildings. They take a long time to build!

please don't snap at me. this thread is a "what if" question, and i posted what I would do if I was given the choice. I did not make my post as if I were demanding it be done, its just what I would prefer based on what I have previously experienced.

Well I'd happily give up voice acting for lots of things. Doesn't add anything to a game for me. Spears though. Can never have enough types of sharp pointy things
